Also interested in the answer to this. I saw a few JBL installs with the additional harness but nothing about the sound cutting out issue.

So I’ve bought the newest one JOYING 9 Inch Android 10 Car GPS Radio Compatible for Toyota Corolla 2017 2018 with CANBUS Built-in Bluetooth 5.1 Stereo in Dash 8 Core 1.8GHz GPS Navigation Head Unit Multimedia Video Player https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KD68BZT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QQSMFBQ0VZ5DWHK0NEDK?_encoding=UTF8

and installed it. My gps won’t track my location unless it’s on wifi and my clock resets to a different time zone even if I turn it off every time I turn it back on. Anyone know how to fix these 2 issues?

Did you connect the gps antenna? Does it show gps signal? Also you may need to download the offline maps for it to track you correctly.

As for the time zone, try turning off automatic time zones.

On mine, I have the front video app. I have to tap that first, then press my front camera switch. Not as convenient, but it works.

I don’t think it does, from what I’ve been reading I should see a satellite count? Yes it’s plugged in.

I did, it restored itself instead of keeping the changes.

Depending on what front end app your using, it may or may not show a satellite count. Something you may try that has worked for me in the past on weird little bugs is to just restart the unit.

I’m using google maps and I did download my city for offline use too
Is there a specific way to restart the unit other than turning the car off and on?

ill attach some pictures of the gps section in the settings menu

Right below the volume knob it's the restart button.

There are 2 ways to restart.

the button below the volume, other wise if you drag down from the top of the screen there should be a little menu, one of the option is restart.

I'm jealous of the guy that got the bigger display. I was looking at pioneer halo deck that had big display but I wasnt gonna pay freaking $1,000 + that's ridiculous kinda like my $1,400 cell phone lol

The big display is nice and all, but when it comes down to it, I think OEM fitment is more important than a giant screen that I dont usually look at.

i agree with this. i had to make a choice and the big screens are tempting in pics and at the store wall but not in my truck.
