A few questions (sorry if they have been answered):
    1. Can you adjust for tire sizes when I get tuned? I have 265/75/r16, which are slightly larger than stock. It would be nice to have my speedometer be correct.
    2. Can I choose a different octane? Say 87 or 91? Is it even worth it to go with a different octane, if available?
    3. Once I choose a tune, I'm locked in to that tune without a re-flash?
    Thanks!

Went pretty well thanks! Would have been nicer if the weather was good but it was still nice being up in a new spot in the foothills.

    1. Yes absolutely on tire sizes, but no it doesn't adjust for the speedometer. The speedometer can be corrected using this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CAORWOU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8
I ask $50 for programming them which is less than most shops I've been told. If you want to go that route you can either order it and send it to me or you could bring it with you for a tune and I can knock it out while doing the tune. I have one on my truck and it works flawlessly.
    2. Yes, I have 87 and 91 tunes. I personally haven't noticed a huge difference using 87 vs 91 but some people say there is. The one important thing to note is that you can run 87 or higher grade fuel on the 87 tune, but it's not recommended to run anything less than 91 on the 91 tune as it changes compression/timing.
    3. No! I provide reflashing free. If you change things like gears, tires, etc later on (doesn't matter for manual) I can do that for you free after the initial tune. I can also flash back to stock which I have never been asked to do but have the ability to (and I did it for shits and giggles the other day- WOW I forgot how bad it was).

No problem! Shoot me a pm if you want to get something lined up. Cheers!

I found the question/answer below on the Amazon link you provided. Any comments on the accuracy of the fuel efficiency charts? Thanks.

Question: Does this calibrate the odometer as well?

Answer: Yes but the fuel efficiency charts on the radio screen won’t be calibrated

Interesting- I think that is strictly for the radio screen. My MPG on the dash reads accurately now. I also upgraded to the Pioneer NEX 6600 head unit so I am unable to check if the radio screen fuel efficiency charts are accurate.

What power gains are we talking with 87 octane?

Is this now available for 2nd Gen Tacomas? (2010 4.0L V6) I saw something from OV Tune that they were developing this. I'm out in Denver and would love something like this on my truck.

Don’t have a dyno with 87 yet but it’s what I run. I did a test 2 weeks 87 2 weeks 91 and couldn’t tell much of a difference in power. Both feel great.

Hopefully soon man. The 4.0’s will feel great with it. Still in development but looks like new tundras and 4runners will be first.

I haven’t seen this asked specifically, but maybe I missed it. Can the dealer see you have a tune? Also which would you recommend? OV or KDMax?

Edit:TWTaco let me know it’s undetectable, I think I’ll look into it soon, down in CO Springs. Hoping to liven up my Taco.

@MGMSangTaco Thanks for the OvTune a couple weeks ago. It made a huge difference on I70 through the mountains to the Utah desert. No more constant shifting up the mountains and my milage ranged from 22-24mpg.

@MGMSangTaco flash KDMax for me this morning, and what a difference it makes. Highly recommend him if you’re in the Denver area!

All I can say is WOW! I had about a 80 mile drive back and It was great on the drive home.

I Could actually use the radar cruise control without it having a panic attack when I hit a small hill. Sat comfortably at 80 most of the way home. HUGE improvement.

I can actually pass people without feeling like I need a mile of space for the truck to figure which gear it wants to be in to accelerate. This really should be how the truck is stock.

Another shout out to Adam for getting me tuned yet again today (3rd time). This time I was looking for a little less throttle response off the line on my KDMaxx tune and the AGM battery adjustment. Got both done in no time at all and of course, no charge for tune changes after the initial buy in just as he states. Thanks @MGMSangTaco. Good luck on those finals next week!

Haha! This review is gold... Thanks man! I understand the panic attack sentiment. Nothing more annoying than 10,000 gear changes going up a little hill. Speaks to the nature of how nice KDMax feels, not only about power but also about smoothness. Thanks for your service too btw! Always happy to give military discounts (and first responder, grocery, and healthcare of course too).

Hell yeah man appreciate the review again! Glad we could get your truck dialed how you want it, and glad you won't have your significant other spill coffee all over me like mine did cause the throttle is so responsive on the most aggressive version of KD HA! And thanks, hopefully I can crush these finals and get some real wheeling in soon!

    Cheers to you both!

    Happy memorial day weekend everyone!

I am upping my veteran discount from 10% off to 15% off until next Sunday as an extra thank you for your service to our country. Healthcare, grocery, and first responders still get 10% off as always too. Please reach out to me here or via pm’s if you are interested in getting a tune scheduled!

Adam installed the KDMax tune on my 2021 TRD OFF ROAD about 2 months ago and after extensive driving of 2300 miles since the install, I can say this is worth EVERY $$$ and some of the best $$$'s you will spend on you Tacoma !!!
The shift points smoothed out considerably, the acceleration also showed a considerable gain, the sudden surge in power at 2500 RPM was smoothed out and a fuel mileage gain of 1.7 MPG was achieved.
Adam was a super nice guy and did everything he said he would and the tune did everything he said it would.
an = and next, but more expensive upgrade you can do is CHANGE YOUR GEARING to 4.88 gears. I will put this in another thread, but the tune and the gearing combined is a HUGE improvement. I just added the gearing and purchased both the front a rear 3rd members from ECGS. They use Yukon gears and back everything with a 3 year warranty for $1700 after you return the cores. You will not beat their price or Adams price.
I have "0" affiliation with either company and seldom leave reviews.
I have lifted the truck 3" and added 275-70/R17's to my truck as well. If you are planning on doing these mods and not the tune or gearing it is a BIG MISTAKE. Even on the stock plat form the tune and gearing is a HUGE upgrade!!!
The gas mileage has increased, again, after the gearing change, but, it is to early to put an honest number on it. My estimate is somewhere around 1.5 to 2.0 MPG.
