She's in the grad program for pharmacy. Not sure if it's the same schedule as the 4 year students.

Awesome program to be in! Monroe is effectively shut down now. Early on MPD was offering free rides in their 4WD vehicles to frontliners but my wife tells me that didn't last long. A nurse friend says 30 folks called in at a hospital in West Monroe. With temps forecast in the single digits tonight, there's no thawing out from this. And Wednesday doesn't look too promising either.

I kind of figured it would get funky in Monroe. I'm stuck offshore and we have not been able to fly in over a week. We might have to jump on a slow boat if we don't make it in by Sunday.

Haven’t seen snow yet down here. Family in Minden is buried but they’ve got things under control. I feel for the poor fools that weren’t ready to stay home and ride this thing out.

If anyone is looking for some 3rd gen takeoff suspension I just noticed this. Thought I’d pass it along.

Hopefully no one here had any problems with this storm for the last 2 days. Here in Houma, we had over 11” of rain in just 12 hrs. Luckily, no high winds. Neighbors across the road from me had water within a few feet of their front door. The bayou is 2 feet higher than normal. We have a couple of roads that were flooded but it is receding slowly.

That was a crazy amount of rainfall y'all got, in such a short time.

Water by my house got as high as I’ve ever seen it but we made it. Another 9-12” rainfall and I would’ve been sandbagging there doors but it let up. My back yard will take a few more days to drain at the rate we’re going.

Margaret Ore on WDSU, was not sure NOLA was going to be spared. My BIL in Raceland, just 10 miles away, had more rain than us. We were fortunate with this one. This hurricane season will be a test of our drainage systems.

Same to you. We had the whole family at our house, cooked ribeyes over the fire. Now me and the old lady are nursing sore feet and sunburns in the bed.
