Are these 17x9? Also are the tires 265 or 285?

Absolutely LOVE your truck MAKtaco! So much so I’m using it as a baseline for my new taco. I have a few questions for ya…

    • How much of a lift did you install?
    • What tire brand and size did you install?
    • What size wheel and offset?
    • Did you have any rubbing? If so, what did you have to modify?
I’m looking to put the TRD 2/1 inch lift (to retain warranty). I’m hoping I can get the same look/stance as yours.

Very nice! Do you have a lift? …and what size tires/wheels/offset?

Got her done yesterday and I absolutely love the look of these wheels on the cement taco.

Absolutely no rubbing while fully cranked (on normal street driving:)). I’m guessing I’ll have to remove the front mud flaps and potentially do some slight plastic trimming at some point (I’ll know more once I get a chance to get her off road and twisted).

Here are some pics of the transformation so far…

Looks good do you know what your new wheel alignment specs are? I’ve had a rubbing issue with my set up and no one so far has been able to get it right

I have a question. I have a 2009 Tacoma TRD Sport with 2" Rough Country leveling strut. I'm told that the Vector 17x8.5 7mm offset with 275/70/17 tire will not require any trimming. Also, I don't want it to stick out more than an inch or so. Thoughts?

Hey man - sweet setup. With the 285s, did you have to do the CMC? or was the 2/1 lift enough to prevent the rubbing? Also, did you replace the UCAs?

    Thanks

Question I am getting 17x8.5 vectors with -12mm offset. My shop says these will barely stick out the fender flare by 1/2" tops which is what I want. Im worried it will stick out further. What do you guys think? Tire is 285/70

My 09 with 17x8.5 +7mm with K02 265/70... about 1/2" outside flares. My setup is 39 mm (20 tires & 19 wheels) narrower than what you're looking at overall.

Stock tires, never have I ever want tires to prematurely wear out, pretty grateful regardless.

    quick mods so far
All......a couple of questions. One, is the D601 bead lock bolted on or actually part of the rim? Bead lock plastic or aluminum? Second, how is the finish holding up especially around the bolts and mating aluminum surface? My Visions are starting to blister due to their design.
