Bro, I'm telling you Hawaii, South Carolina living on the water. I feel like living in Denver has become a fashion statement.

What the eff part of Mantana did you live in? Bozeman, Missoula or Big Sky? Cause my family in Glendive and Billings will tell you that is incorrect.

Bozeman in the 60s and 70s. Skied Lone Mt. before the lifts were built. Yeah Glendive, Forsyth, Glasgow all cheaper than Denver. So is Montrose, Delta, Fruita etc. I'm in Durango since 83 and housing is about the same as Box. but taxes here are 1/3 Bozeman.

The quantity of people. The type of people that are there (for the most part). The lack of space between people. The traffic from all of the people. The fact that it’s literally growing at the rate that pretty soon Fort Collins will be a suburb of Denver. Oh did I mention... people.

But that’s why Fort Collins is the biggest city I’ve ever lived and and probably will be the biggest city I ever live in

Definitely feel and understand your frustration. It's just "people" and size is what makes a major city, a major city lol. Pretty much all remotely desirable major city is growing (at varying rates) like Denver in the US today.

Hawaii the problem isn't the land prices, its the whole Island tax where everything you buy is like 3x to 4x the mainland price. You ever see what the TW guys pay to ship truck stuff out there?

That's okay the money I would make on my house I would just buy a house there in cash and have a bunch of money left over. Plus I'm in a niche industry so I'd have a job immediately.
If I really didn't want to ship my Tacoma I just sell it here and buy another one there, but I would probably ship it.

I have good friends up in Kalispel, MT and great friends up in Butte.

I'd love to move to Montana but here's the issue for me:

    1. Fuggen cold in winter.
    2. Fuggen dark in winter.
    3. Fuggen light out until 10pm in summer.

Number three is one of the fondest memories I have as a kid. I got shipped up to NoDak and MT in the summers to spend time with my old man and grandparents. They’d tell me to be home at sundown or when the street lights came on. As an ~11 year old it was pretty badass having a 10pm curfew in a small town.

The next time I have to sit in traffic for an hour for a trip that used to take me 15 minutes I'll have to contemplate how it's actually the homogeny I really couldn't stand.

Anyone here have any experience climbing 14ers in spring?

I'm headed out to the Breck area memorial day weekend and the 14ers on my list are: Quandary, Lincoln, Beirstadt, and Elbert. It will be my first 14er attempts.

Gonna be honest I have no gear. I just realized there is still a fair bit of snow on the mountains. I have all the clothing I need and just got a new pair of boots. I'm wondering if I need to also get me some waterproof gaiters and some micro spikes. Worried if snow shoes are something I need for the spring snow.
