No problem towing that? Not trying to be mean, I would like to as well. Just not sure about my little 200,000 mile truck would be happy about it.
I'd like to hit the eastern sierra more often with something I can get up the grades with. Last year with the bed of my truck loaded down it was slow going up to the summit between Bishop and Convick Lake..

This camper you tow, do you stay in ECT or do you use SMode as well.

    Those are 265/75r16 wildpeak at3w

Or 215 trailer tires depending on what you were asking

It’s a manual 4cyl, so I pull in 5th unless there’s any wind or incline at all and then 4th does okay. I just go slow.

Tires don't look like over-kill, how do they handle pavement, generally quiet or noisy.
I went onto a clean dirt-road nearby for some photo-shoots and picked up a narly screw that punctured
a tire required patch and plug. I'm thinking damn if I do any kind of off-roading, and nothing serious I
should upgrade the rubber. But then again I like the way these stock tires handle/sound on the pavement.

I went with c range tires, after being on 31” BFG ko2s, and they’re honestly amazing. The wild peaks are quieter than any AT ive ever had before, and handle great at 30-32psi where I run them. I’d say you can’t even tell the difference between these and an all season tire in terms of noise.

They do *very* slightly track grooves in pavement, but I mean very slightly.

aired down, they handle fire roads really well, and wet traction hasn’t been an issue yet. Not sure about snow but they’re 3-peak rated so should be fine.

I can’t recommend them strongly enough. They also look more aggressive in person than in photos

@2021SR5V64WD theyre also 10lbs lighter than my old BFGs (each), so the truck feels faster, which is a bonus with a 4cyl

Sadly, we finished our year long trip (but we made through 13 months of teardrop living). It was finally time to put our pride and joy into storage for a little while. We now call the CrowsWing our vacation home

    20210712_172527.jpg

In the meantime we're not ready to give up traveling but we need to work. Not ready to settle down our solution was to buy a work camper so we could find work on the road in all weather conditions. Our new addition is an E Pro 19FD.

    20210714_193033.jpg
It's not as maneuverable as the teardrop but we've already had it in some right spots on our way to find employment
After we've earned some cash we'll swap trailers, store this one and go back to fun in the teardrop

Hey guys! What are yall running for rear suspension? I currently am pulling a tear drop trailer thats about 3k loaded. My trucks setup currently has an add a leaf and extended super bump stops which helps a good bit.

I still experience some rear sag when fully loaded with the generator, fuel, fridge, and water. As well as my weight distribution hitch is heavy as hell... I'm sure that doesn't help the problem..

Do yall recommend just going airbags or should i replace my leafs for maybe a stage 2 or 3 deavers?

Traded our little Sunray for something bigger this year…

    2021 Keystone Hideout 20RDWE.
Went a little bigger than what I would normally cuz it lives on our leased site.
Towed fine though, Andersen Hitch, P3 Brake controller.

Wouldn’t want to do it through mountains though. Lol

If you have a wdh, and you’re still sagging, I would look at the setup. Things should be standard height with the hitch setup properly.

Stock leafs arent great, they start to sag with just a few hundred pounds in the bed let alone with a trailer hanging off the rear most point. Deavers, Icon, and OME all make heavier duty leaf springs that can be had for $4-800 depending on setup and install super easily. The rub is they make the ride rougher obviously but are a solid upgrade. I have heard the OME's start to squeak pretty bad, one of my Icons has a slight squeak that I need to spray down. I have heard great things about deavers but havent seen them first hand.

If you like the ride when you arent towing, dont want serious rake, and dont want the rear end to be rougher there is always firestones ride-rite air bags that can help support quite a bit of the load and reduce sagging. I put them on my truck when I had stock springs cause my RTT/rack and all my camping gear basically made my stock leaf's ride the bump stops. They worked like a dream and rode real well under load then I could deflate them when I didn't need them. They are a little cheaper than springs and help you maintain the stock ride. I eventually went with a full lift and used Icon springs on their stage 2 setting which adds lift and increases the load weight. I use my ride rites when I am super heavy to keep from bending any leaf's. The combo of the two are perfect for me but the air bags helped super well when I was still stock.
