I don’t have any extra weight on mine so you might still be ok. You can always lower it as well. I’m not sure if the spring has a different weight on it or anything. It could just be what they set it to. I’d recommend online chatting with them.

Edit- I bought mine and built them up myself. I don’t think they even offer that option anymore. I wanted 3” lift but that and the E rated tires it was too stiff for my wife and my liking. Dropping it a bit made a huge improvement.

I definitely didn’t do or think about that. I moved the bottom nut down where I wanted then slowly turned the spring perch nut until it reached the other nut. About 1/4-1/3” lower.
It would have been smarter to only move each a little at a time to prevent it jumping

I looked at the ironman design and it's a little different for the fox CO's that I have. I only have one ring that you adjust the clamping pressure with the set screw. The ironman design has two and the spring perch is held in place by the second ring. Disregard me :anonymous:

Moving it with the second nut just a little lower would still probably have been safer but I do see your point. I would not want to be in the way when those springs want to do spring things...

When you say you built them you mean with the shock top hat unassembled and you had to assemble yourself? I was referring to this link posted by this member (see bottom quote) about the spring rate and possible stiff ride. You're right I can always lower them. How much did you lower your front? I've been rocking SL rated all terrain tires for a year and a half now and honestly don't feel the difference between them and the other E rated tires I've ran ( BFG KM1, KM2, Toyo MT).

I been rocking my setup for 12 years now and looking forward to throwing these on. Probably gonna get wheelers front and rear bump stops too.

Sorry, yea, I had to set the spring seat height and top hat on. I had tried using tried using the truck as the compressor but didn’t have luck that way. I’m sitting around 2.5” lift in the front, originally had 3” lift up there. I also ended up getting the Timbren rear bump stop and ubolt flip kit. I’ve been looking at duro front bump stops, since they’re 108 compared to the 260 Timbren front stops.
The IM is a great kit and a definite improvement on the stock.

I don't even know what stock feels like  original owner had spacer lift on it when I bought it back in 09. I swapped them out for bilstein 5100 and ran them for a bit before swapping to camburgs in from and icon in the rear. Timbren are spendy but I'm sure they're worth the price.

Might be better not knowing what stock was like but I’m sure the spacer lift didn’t help. I was surprised on the price of the Timbrens and flip kit. I think I paid 180 or so for the rears. Looking at duronumps for the fronts now...

Never heard of that brand. I'll definitely check them out and compare them to wheeler off roads bump stops.

Haven’t driven it yet, but here’s how she sits. About an inch and a quarter to a half higher on each side. My fronts only have like a inch of preload so I’ve got a pretty serious rake going on.

    Measurements:
    Passenger rear 24 3/4in
    Driver rear 23 3/4s

    Passenger rear after 26
    Driver after 25 1/4

here’s the Timbren, they get great reviews and I’ve been happy with mine on the mall bumps and stuff- plus it came with the flip kit!

+1 for the timbrens. I have them front and rear. I don’t notice it on the front but can really feel it on the rear when you would get harsh bottom out with the stock bump stops

I got some new to me (3k miles used) wheelers bumps in the front as a band aid for my old shocks while I was waiting on the ironman kit. For me, they made a world of difference and I'd venture to say it was the best $80 I've spent on my truck.

Good to hear... I saw a set earlier today on the BST for 80 and it really got me thinking more about it. Maybe I can sneak a set in before I get the kdmax tune next month.

Make it stoppppppp!!!! What do I need to lube to make the intense squeaking stop?
Hard for me to figure what’s squeaking when I’m at home because the PNW rain will make the noise go away. When I get out to the dry forests and deserts, the squeaking comes back.
Sway bar bushings? UCA? Lower shock bushing?
Will put up a video when I get better service.
