Flagstaff/Northern AZ Thread

Any of yall ever able to do mid week stuff? I have off work Wednesdays and Thursdays. I have no classes Wednesdays. Once schools over I'll have both days to use. I want to explore more of sedona/northern Arizona before I move to reno.

 

After this week I’ll be pretty busy with finals and my capstone competition, but if anybody wants to meet later this week or this weekend I’d be open for something

 

Decided to do Schnebly hill this weekend, how much should I air down if I’ve been running the recommended 30 PSI ?

 

Stock tires? I'd say 20psi front, 15psi rear.

Broke the truck in a little bit on some forest service roads, which lead to some rougher trails with big rocks up here in CO, but I have never done anything down in AZ and wanted to give it a shot while visiting Sedona.

 

My buddy just bought a cabin on that trail in Breezy Pine. About to get real familiar with that area.

 

Schnebely hill isnt hard, just bumpy with rocks.

 

Yeah that’s what I saw, wanted something easy to ease my wife into off-roading in my new truck lol lol

 

The views from schnebly are amazing. If you want to scare the wife we can strap her into the race truck for a little ride

 

I think she’d actually like that lol, I’ve gotten her into F1 the last 5 years.

 

Gonna head to outlaw trail In Sedona, devils bridge tomorrow morning, Schnebly hill, and mayyyyybe broken arrow or some of the desert trails to the south.

 

A loop of that would be Schnebely from I17 into Sedona, Broken Arrow, Devils Bridge then Outlaw.
As Outlaw is south of Sedona and Sedona gonna be busy with people and traffic. You dont want to be waiting in traffic entering and exiting several times.

 

Did Outlaw and scared my wife lol, until I figured out the correct line and clearance. Only scraped once because I took a bad line, but I’m new to the truck and haven’t been off-roading in over 10 years.

we’re just visiting and staying in west Sedona so the traffic hasn’t been too bad, parking has been the hard part in uptown

 

Anyone interested in a set of rock sliders? Need to place a steel order this week to finish up a project and was gonna order up a little extra material to have on hand.

 

Build a rig to remove my bed/GFC at the same time so we can do my shock relocation

My DCSB has 4X Innovations square main tube, DOM everywhere else with kickout. No plates. I like this style quite a lot.

Thinking A frame with a hoist like this. I’ve actually though about building something like this for myself for doing suspension work. Maybe we can arrange something for splitting materials or something?

 

Do you need/want an engine hoist? I Have a brand new Harbor Freight one that was supposed to be for my K5 LS swap project that never happened. Its just sitting in storage, we could barter haha. Otherwise yeah, we need to figure out a price for the hammer hangers+shock relocation install.
