1 ) Well I though I had it pretty much water and dust proof until I was over by Christmas Valley .......
2 ) Never have taken it off
3 ) I got a deal on a SnugTop XTR - Like it but if you have to replace a side window you have to send the whole canopy down to Long Beach CA since no one up here replaces them -REAL PAIN IN THE ASS
4 ) I wish I had sealed my tailgate before I went to Christmas Valley .
5 ) Sure makes it nice to sleep in the back when going solo and doing a different camp spot each night

@Astr0Aar0n don’t you have the Yokohama MT’s? Wanted to see how much you like them. Or, if anyone else is running them I’d love to hear from you too. Thanks fellas

Quite a few things at this point..
I've been loving them. Best tire I've put on my truck I feel. I've only had stock tires, Falken wildpeaks, and KO2s, but these have definitely out preformed all them in everything I've put them through, on and off-road. My only complaint is that I didn't get them sooner.

Just a heads up if anybody’s going over the mountain either direction Highway 26 is closed in Government Camp for a really bad accident that involved three life flight helicopters

Gracias amigo! I’ve really liked my Wildpeaks, but considering going up a size when the lift goes on and I really like the tread design on those. I think I’m ready to move to MT’s. So if any of you guys want a set of nearly new Wildpeaks at a discount let me know.

Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.
Picked up a sheet of HDPE from Tap plastics. Really happy with this flat surface tailgate panel.

Nice! Any details on the install and exact product? Been wanting something like this, but only see white boards. I’m sure there is a thread...lol

I used 1/4" marine grade "King starboard" HDPE plastic from Tap Plastics. https://www.tapplastics.com/product/plastics/cut_to_size_plastic/king_starboard/526 Cost me $50 for the plastic. You can get it in a few colors. I just pulled off the ribbed panel and traced it out. Cut it out with a jig saw, and cleaned up the edges with a file and sandpaper. There is a thread for details. You have to cut around a bump, and shave the bump stops. But it was a fun easy Saturday morning project.

With some help from my son; got the bed stiffeners installed. Pretty fun install. But this made me realize how nice a flat tailgate surface would have been.

    It's finished!

I do think there is some bedside damage on the driver side. The bumper cap has a bigger gap and the taillight was difficult compared to right side.

All the tech works though so I am a happy camper.

    When's the next meetup?

I was hoping to get a meet up in this month, but I have been busy. Will finish up painting my sliders tomorrow and with luck install them on Wed.

Perhaps we could get something going for Saturday, but I am not sure yet.

Busy the weekend after, so it may not happen in May.

I do want to stress to everyone once again, anyone can use this thread to make a meet up happen. I will advertise it in the first post if you do. You guys don't have to wait for me to do it :D

A friend and I are plotting a mid August OBCDR run - just a week or so of it. 4-5-2-3 starting at Sisters. Timeline still to be finalized .. Any takers?

    Yeah May is looking tough.

I might be available the Monday of Memorial Day.

Thinking of taking my girlfriend and dog to the coast this weekend. Anywhere y'all recommend to drive out on the sand?

I always default to Long Beach, WA, it's like a 2.5hr drive... But I have a friend who lives there, so it's an easy no-brainer for me
