Looking for some input from the alignment Guru's here. Completely stock 2019 4Runner 26,000 miles. Brought it in for a recall issue and they said needed an alignment. You guys tell me what's up if anything. Sorry the tech crumbled the paper.

Did you pay for it? All he did was set the toe. If that.

Yes $80. He was telling me that every time he tried to set the caster on the right front it would throw off the left front. Now I'm no expert so all I tried to argue is why doesn't a brand new truck not zero out to all green specs?

Get your money back. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. If he’s a Toyota tech he should be able to get everyone of those readings spot on, especially on a completely stock vehicle.

26,000 miles on a 2 year old vehicle is not brand new, that's well into used territory. You ever jump it, hit a curb, a pothole, a speedbump too hard?

Sorry for the misquote, but I beg to differ, 26,000 for a Toyota is very much still new and hardly into "used" territory. No the truck is my wife's and I'm 100% sure it hasn't been jumped, now a hard pothole or a curb? Maybe.

Going to call them tomorrow and give them an ear full. They called while we were out to lunch and I should've told them to pound sand I'll look into it, but it was there and I just said fuck it do it.

I'm not sure what fantasy land you live in but that vehicle is 70% through its Basic Warranty and more than double the mileage of the wheel alignment coverage.

Just because a well maintained Toyota will maintain it's value well and run for many years doesn't mean you get to redefine the term "Brand New". I'd bet you $100 that 10 out of 10 people you ask on the street would consider a 2 year old 26,000 mile vehicle of any variety to be "Used"

Some Toyota dealers suck at alignments. They couldn't align my 05 4runner to save their lives. Ended up taking it elsewhere and all was great. I would try to get a refund and take it elsewhere. 26k miles is nothing on a 2wd 4runner. Lightly used would be the proper term.

Sure I guess you're right a vehicle is considered used the minute you sign the paperwork if you want to be a nitpicker. Thanks for what advice you gave as little as it was besides what you consider a new or used vehicle.
