I recently purchased the 1/2” block with bolts from Headstrong. Fast shipping from HS, it arrived a day early, which meant I was able to get them installed already. This was an addition to the add-a- leaf from Icon, however quality of the headstrong bolt & nut was better than Icon. Pictures when it’s warm enough to wash. Thanks everyone at Headstrong for running such a great business!

Recently ordered an ARB bumper and a suspension kit from the "new" Headstrong, two separate orders.

There were a few minor glitches, but HS was fast to respond to my e-mails and fast to get it all taken care off thoroughly. Shit happens and I can't really ask for any more than they did for me. I would definitely recommend them based on my customer service experience alone.

I recently purchased the very nice Elka 2.5 DC LT suspension from HS. I really like the kit, but after less than a month the rear passenger side strut was blown and leaking all over the place. That most certainly is no fault of Headstrong.

There was some initial difficulty getting everyone on the same page, maybe some miss communication on my part, but once I was able to speak with Kevin over the phone he assured me that everything would be taken care of. He reached out to Elka and got a replacement in the mail to me the very next day! It was stressful at first, but ultimately I am pleased with the was things were handled and would do business with them again.

Just about a year ago I ordered & installed the OME 887s, single AAL with 5100s for all corners of my '17 DCLB SR5. Had the struts assembled @ 0 before shipping to save the headache on my end. I put an AAL on my old '99 but I have never done any front end work. That said, install was an easy process and done in the driveway spread out over two ~half days. I do not do any off roading aside from maintained dirt roads but with the weight of a cap, dogs & gear the rear was sagging/bottoming out more than I liked. Yeah, I could have just thrown the AALs but want to keep the truck essentially level so I did "it" right and put taller coils on (vs just throwing spacers on). A year later I couldn't be happier. No bottoming out unless I'm grossly over weight and I love the look. It has a subtly taller stance without looking like its "jacked up" and 265/75/16s look appropriate/no crammed into the wheel wells.

Just want I wanted for my truck.

    10/10.

Bonus point: put a deposit down on a '21 DCLB OR so will likely be ordering the exact same kit in the near future.

Just decided to upgrade my bilstein 5100 in eibach performance coils up to a full 6112 set. Always order here when I can, they are awesome. Excited to put these in! I think it will match my Icon RXTs2 leafs/billy 5160s nicely.

You can get away with OEM (factory) UCAs w/ a 2.5" if you aren't planning to do any serious off roading. If it's for aesthetics (I get it), yes it's overkill. Just get spacers & blocks--essentially the same result for a fraction of the price.

With a prerunner I *assume* you're not planning on aggressive trails so hence my response above.

If you are actually looking to offroad, what type? Slow/trail? Fast/fire roads? If the first, save some money and go with the 5100s. If the second you'd benefit from the larger bore of the 6112s

I’m building my second 3rd gen Tacoma and I am just now learning about Headstrong thanks to Tacomaworld. After emailing with an inquiry on parts and if they were right for my usage. Headstrong emailed me back within the same day. I asked a lot of questions (some very dumb questions at that) and got responses immediately. It took me a couple of days to pull the trigger and place my order. Shortly after I placed my order they sent an email asking if I decided to not order a specific part that we had spoke about (SPC UCA’s). Turns out I had simply forgot to add them because I was distracted adding Baja designs Squadrons lol. They caught my mistake within like 4 hours of me placing my order. I am absolutely blown away by how great this experience has been so far. This is some of the best customer service I have ever had. If you’re on the fence about a part or even a general build you are doing, send them an email and run it by them. They are super nice and helpful!

Used Headstrong’s 1.5” progressive add-a-leaf kit and taco-lean spacers front and rear paired with new bilstein 5100 all around for my lift. Happy with how everything turned out. Fast shipping on parts and mechanic told me it’ll be a solid setup for my uses! The progressive add-a-leaf feel great with the weight of my canopy. A little stiffer but that was the goal. Very pleased, thanks Headatrong!

Third clip, which I understand is 1.1” w/ OEM spring, may switch those out down the road but I’m happy with stock ride for now. Only rear end feels different (slightly stiffer).

*yes I know this is an old thread but I want to praise Headstrong.

Recently installed the identical components HS that I put on my last Tacoma (5100s, 2888 @ 0, single AAL) and couldn't be happier! Discovered after the parts shipped that that they were going to an incorrect address, emailed HS and they were quickly redirected to the correct address. Might have been a two day delay--a non-issue for me.

Ride is great and the weight of the cap and ~100# of misc things keeps the AAL from making the ride harsh and allow more payload/prevent bottoming out.

They answered many questions for me and were very helpful when I was trying to figure out what springs would be best for my Bilstein 5100s. They respond quickly and are always able to answer my many questions. I'm very happy with their service and will buy from them again.
