I’ve been lost under my truck for the last few days cleaning things up. After 10 years of ownership on a 20 year old truck this is what I’ve learned about frame maintenance. Oiling makes it last but certainly makes it more difficult to clean things up when you do want to paint.

wire wheels are good but this 3M disc is amazing.


I have used rust bullet and metal blast with great success....I think the metal blast is phosphoric acid formula and preps the metal. No topcoat is required but you can put whatever you want on it.

Yes I do, but my Cooper S/T Maxx are still in great shape.

@TacooSaucee My rear suspension is perfect still, The new Billie 5160's might make it 1 season, since I have not wheeled yet this summer.

I guess that leaves new wrap.

Matte black again I think?

I also really like matte army green, 1940's WWII kinda color. Would go well with the orange.

 

I like the black idea, but if you want to switch it up a nice green could be fitting, even a grey maybe??

I like the embossed rear panels, like the Tundra has had for a few years.

But that color, fuk no. I only like flat, matte colors.

 

I was thinking more of the baja style, since he likes bombing down dirt roads so much
