I definitely missed my Habitat over the weekend. Way harder to pack with just an open truck bad. I did get to see my Habitat. Drove by the new owner's place (forgot to take a picture). Looks pretty good on their Colorado ZR2 Bison.

Lol. Yes. With a fit kit from AT. It is a bit high. They have full prinsu rack on the rig, and it still clears fine.

 

Finally joined the club!

Can anyone be so kind as to tell me the wiring? I think I figured that one is 12V+, one brake light, one ground, but there's a 4th wire that the previous owner had present that he wasn't sure about. Didn't really have time to trace it back or test since we were trying to swap the shell as quickly as possible so I could get back on the road and head back home to make it back in time for work.

 

One is for a blinker, i believe. When my 4 ways are on, or my left blinker, the brake light on the Habitat would flash.

 

Now you just need an 8 foot ARB awning on the opposite side... maybe a Brute Force Swingout...

 

Haha I was actually JUST looking at the Brute Force website again to try and find another way to reach out to Billy to see about lead times and maybe get an order in on a swingout. And yep, awning is on the wishlist as well!

He sometimes responds to emails, sometimes texts, but best is to just call him until you get through to him. Might take a couple days. Totally worth it though, at least in my opinion. Was a way better deal than CBI and some others I looked at. And the quality was spot on. Love it.

 

What year is the truck? It took them a long while to get my 2012 wires right. I guess the 12 is strange. If you have a 12 I can go get the colors for you.

You haven't sold it yet??? Sounded like you had a ton of interest over on Expedition Portal. What happened?

 

It's a 2015 and I think the one it came off of was 2009. I'm not too concerned about the truck side of things, it's the camper side of things that I want to know what goes where. If that last wire is for the turn signal/hazards I don't think I care enough about that to bother hooking that up.

I would have picked yours up if it had been a 5' bed

 

Does the Habitat's rear light turn on when you turn on your headlights?

Does the light get brighter when you engage your brakes?

Do you have internal accessories on the Habitat that you believe should be powered, that aren't?

 

When wired properly the third light turns on low with markers, off when markers are off, and bright with brakes in both scenarios.


I was saying get the colors on the truck to wire it up correctly?

 

Interesting, I'm pretty sure mine was on with lights, not markers, and bright with the brakes. Wired a lil diff maybe.
