Todays standard high mileage to me is over 200k in the 90s it was 100. I'm sorry but a car that sits in my experience is typically in worse shape than one that get's driven and maintained as the avg person does.

Yea, several years of offroad I guess was too much for the factory metal. I plan to plate over this to reinforce it some more.

Driverside headlight shut off yesterday.. I'd already swapped sides with ignitor and ballast, back in October :anonymous: but I don't remember which one was going out then..

This should finally make the fridge run right again. PSA don't forget to put your tailgate back up... Installed new thermistors.

Well that was obnoxious.. Got a New Cardone 97-2692 steering rack and whiteline W13400 bushings. They're 2 piece bushings, the ones in the steel were as you'd expect to get out but the ones in the aluminum were a bitch! Also there's not much in the way of bushing in the original ones.. And oriented 90* out from what I thought they'd be?

Whiteline says only use supplied grease, and there was no grease. Further reading sounds like no grease is needed because it's just a cushion, not a rotating bushing.

    Mother Fucker!

I'm back on chat support with Whiteline.. W13400 does not fit correctly or I got a bad kit.. The sleeves are too short to reach all the way through the bushings and allow the weird washer design to cut the lips off the bushing. I only tightened them to factory spec (68ft/lbs).

On a new Cardone rack.. Not that it should matter, the bushing "housing" is the same inner diam and height.

New washers showed up. When I get the whiteline RMA bushings I'll use them. *The center washer is just to show the 3mm gap that will be between the sleeves/bushings.

    Update:
New bushings/washers are in with minimal squeeze out. I'm much happier with this install. I'll get the wheels back on and an alignment this weekend.

Alignment wasn't that far off when I put it back together. Drives nice and tight again!

Cleaned out all the pine needles and trash, enbiggun'd the drain holes, and fixed my house battery. Marine circuit breakers are not waterproof... I got rubber booties now.

What alignment cams and bolts did you go with? I am finally getting around to putting together the parts to do this.

I tried the moog greasable ones, not sure if they were too hard for Firestone to understand but after several alignments the plastic inner sleeves were trashed. Went with factory.
