Last year bought a Tornado Pro power cleaner from Amazon and then packed it away to use in warmer weather. This week I took it out and started to use it. I have an LX470 that had some heavily soiled seat belts and carpet. I think the tool cleaned up the seat belts very well. I also used it on some very dirty carpet.

For the $30 price, the thing exceeded expectations. I was able to get to some difficult spots and clean a very dirty interior.

I used this to augment a smaller Rug Doctor-type cleaner.

Things to note about this type of cleaner.

It needs 5 CFM at 90 lbs or more to function properly. You need a healthy air compressor to run the gun.

It blows soap through the seatbelt. You can see soap on the opposite side of the belt while cleaning.

After some research, I learned that plain old ammonia in a 1 to 4 part mix with water did the best job of cleaning carpet and seat belts. Somehow ammonia makes dirt release from fabric as good as I've found. It was nonfoaming and can be easily rinsed. Yeah it smells. Just keep the doors open for ventilation.

Did you feel that it was struggling at the 5 CFM at 90 PSI, like it needed more air?

I have access to a smaller air compresor.

I used it with one of these 5.9 CFM Harbor Freight 29 gallon compressors. After about 10-15 minutes I would need to let the compressor catch up so it could cycle off and cool off. I had just enough compressor to make it.

I've used smaller compressors for sand blasting and painting, I just needed to stop and let the compressor catch up more frequently.
    • Air delivery: 5.9 CFM @ 90 PSI, 7.3 CFM @ 40 PSI
    • Twin capacitor motor for easy start up
    • Adjustable handle and semi-pneumatic wheels for easy maneuvering
    • Oil lubricated pump for reliable performance
    • Thermal overload protection
    • Dual pressure gauges and built-in quick coupler
