I almost did the same with the chevelle. Then I remembered that these people in the city can't drive so I decided against it.

Alright everyone, hit me with what solar power options people have either equipped to the truck or portable ones. Just looking for something to keep phones, camera gear and a bluetooth speaker charged up.

Just installed the VSS system by cascadia 4x4 two nights ago. Plug and play. It's only 85w panel but can run a fridge 24/7

But for what you're looking to charge. Check out the Jackey 300 or smaller with the portable solar panel that Jackey makes for their power stations.

I have one of these. Cheap, portable, works in a pinch.

    Morning Maryland!
Well, today is the second day of being under construction. House is a mess! I think with all the dust, the wife may have a mental breakdown, lol!

    On a better note…
While the contractors are doing their thing, I have some time to play in shop. Got my Diode Dynamics sport fogs installed!

Damn that system is wild looking! Such a cool concept! Maybe a bit overkill for me for sure but might be worth it.

Sounds like some sort of pick up line...”Hey (insert pronoun here), I really like your bumper, wanna check out my driveshaft?”...

I had to run into Westminster this afternoon to Napa to get brake parts for the Taco, I had all of the glass down in the 4runner and was enjoying every second of it! This reminds me of the 6 weeks of "summer" weather when I lived in Seattle.

I have a brake caliper question for anyone- I thought that I had a frozen piston in one of the calipers, the Taco almost always pulled left when braking, to the point that I would counter steer to the right so the truck would stop straight. ( without the counter steer, it would make a left lane change when braking).

At first I thought it would be the left caliper dragging and when I had both front wheels in the air, the left didn't turn as freely as the right. Today when I pulled the caliper and rotor, I saw that the pads had less then 1/32" of material left (seriously, just about metal to metal) so I thought I found the problem but then all 4 pistons pushed back into the caliper with little effort from the c-clamps that I use on brake jobs.

The right side had about 1/8" of material left on the pads and 1 piston took a tiny bit of effort to get it back into the caliper, but it still didn't seem like it was seized. During the test drive and bedding-in process, the brakes felt nice and strong and absolutely no pulling. I stopped in a parking lot after 5 miles of cooling off, the left side still felt warmer than the right. I'm now starting to think that maybe the right side caliper is hanging up, it isn't doing as much work as the left side. The thing that throws that idea off is that the truck is clearly not pulling when hard braking.

    Any ideas/thoughts?

If one side is working and the other is not it will pull to the side that's working. Maybe during hard braking the pressure on the right side caliper (given one piston is more free than the other) is high enough to bring it close to a balance?
