Bought two Element P/N 60100 fire extinguisher brackets from Etobicoke, JB Welded them to the rail cap, and touched up with a black paint pen:

    y0bGOfuIjLQ-Ze1f2q1ra7k8DCRBLu9RcpdCorKM_1c1e24a39caffad889a9625640b4dd489df4f3b4.jpg gnHRcE_Az47BhdCmnNs3tl7wQHlgsliuC9Zh-XdL_d2826517cce222f070292518818372430f8f8b68.jpg

Plagiarized @Snail81's idea and made a depth checking pole from a Dollarama P/N 22-3055594 heavy duty broomstick. Put two duct tape bands on it, 1st band at the door seal level, 2nd band at the intake level. (With the lift and tires, the 2nd mark is just below my chest height.) Used Power Phase P/N 58656 4/0 AWG heat shrink to bump up the diameter for a tight fit in the brackets:

    Clears the folding tonneau:

Since my last concession trail adventure, I've had to replace all 4 ball joints and a tie Rod end.. in the process of the repair I discovered a torn CV Boot.

I've also determined that I hate replacing lower ball joints. Little mother "F"ers

My son bought a pair of led taillights for my truck for Father's day. They don't come with reverse bulbs. So I need to order some and thought I might as well swap the interior bulbs as well. Anyone have a reccomendation or a link? I do recall it being talked about a little while ago but I'm over 50 and I forgot. Thanks

GFRP? Does it float? I went with the heaviest steel broomstick I could find in the dollar store...

Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer Rebar. I got an offcut years ago from a job site. it's like $50 a meter shipped from Germany for this stuff. Used it as a measuring stick ever since. and i've not tested it in water, but i cannot imagine that it will float.

Cheap and bright reverse LEDs: https://www.amazon.ca/AMAZENAR-Extremely-Non-Polarity-EX-3030-Chipsets/dp/B077W9QRQY/
Next step up is the 35W HIR bulb upgrade: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/gy6-35-hir-921-reverse-light-upgrade-vs-high-power-leds.474996/ Unfortunately not many places have the HIR bulbs in stock: https://www.amazon.ca/Sylvania-58896-35BT4Q-OSRAM-Single-Halogen/dp/B001BMUFN8/

For the interior, Meso would be the best but it's $80 US + shipping for the full kit: https://www.tacomalifestyle.com/col...toms-ultimate-interior-lighting-kit-2005-2015

I did an Amazon kit for interior bulbs, it was like 50$, and came with license plate bulbs as well. No issues yet.

thanks for the head's up. trying to get the coil overs fitted correctly before an alignment on tuesday...

    Looking at this guy: https://www.princessauto.com/en/adjustable-hook-spanner-wrench/product/PA0008320293
I'm mostly curious to know what the dimensions are of the hook itself. since it doesn't say
need a wrench for the Fox 2.5 Coil over (i forgot to get it from the guy (who's out in blue mountain)) was thinking of filing the pin to get this to work. needs to be 12.5mm deep and 7.5mm in diameter.

if you could check it out for me to see if it works, and if you could help me by dropping it off either tomorrow or monday, please let me know

No annoying beeps coming from my truck. The seatbelt doesn’t even buzz I think it was disconnected or not required in the US before I got it.

When you are trying to keep your taco for a long time it’s nice to have a base model with no fancy electric gadgets. It’s all pretty basic except for the one fancy button that I like.
