Made a "hardwire" harness for the fridge. Unlike the cigarette lighter plug this can't be bounced loose and should be a much better connection(less resistance/voltage drop). Still can use the old plug If necessary.

i actually like this idea. My fridge connection shook loose and threw a E1 code... restarted the fridge and everything was good. I wonder if i should go about doing this instead. The fridge and battery are about 2 feet away from each other.

My cord had been pinched a few times in a few places so I opted for new wires and making a new connection inside. You could just snip off the cig outlet and put another connector on the factory cord. Also shortening up the cord will reduce any voltage drop.

Might work ok inside a vehicle, but no where I want to mount it in the bed. Also too damn expensive.

This is an alternative. Decent price, I thought.

We had the same idea with the battery box. Do you have a blue sea on the inside lid of yours? I need to redo mine yet again. The last time I did, I only had red wires - for positive and negative

Nah no fuse panel. Just some resettable fuses for the USB/12v outlets on the outside. Then the big main terminals on the top.

Sounds decent but won't fit my location and that price... My God.

    My Setup:
$65 - Blue Seas SI-ACR(dual charge sensing and starting battery isolation/separation)
$30 - charge controller from some solar vendor at Overland Expo used from a demo model

Last time I put my skids back on I noticed these front two bolts didn't want to tighten up. So I got em close and left em. At URE last weekend I hear a big metal go a kinda noise :notsure: must have been a rock on the skid.. Then I hear it more.

Email sent to Toyota Corporate regarding peeling paint. Adding this for reference. I don't see them doing anything about it.

My 2006 Tacoma has 020 super white paint that is peeling around the hood, front fenders, fuel door, door windows and door jams. I just went to Hendrick Toyota in Apex, NC and was told my vehicle does not have any open recalls or Warranty Enhancements. I cannot believe with the extent of the damage from the same paint and painting process (manufacturing defect) covered on other vehicles older and newer than mine that mine is not covered. Please review the attached pictures of the damage and advise on the situation. 289000 miles?

They have a "Warranty Enhancement" but it conveniently doesn't include Tacoma or Tundra

The Lexus GX470 has this very same problem. I avoided a white one specifically.

BUT. if you own a 07-09 GX470 with peeling paint, toyota will pay for a respray...

No clue why they dont extend it everywhere else.

Just got an email response back. "to effectively address your concern, please call us"... Call the provided generic number and talked to a worthless Toyota Brand Engagement representative. Luckily he was able to connect me with another representative that was able to collect my information, note in detail what's happening with my paint, and verify that currently there is not a program covering the Tacoma/my VIN BUT that's not to say there won't be.

Basically call Toyota, talk to a rep that will file documentation of the issue and hopefully if enough of us do it there will be an extension to the Tacoma.
