Rear Seat Delete Deck for 2nd Gen Tacoma (double cab) assembled and installed.

Perfect for dogs or other wild beasts. Can even be used to secure tools or other precious cargo. Perfect surface to mount your refrigerator to for camping/overlanding.

Inspired by the rear seat delete thread found here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-seat-delete-decks.632134/ I have designed and made my own version using a CNC. After posting my RSD Deck, I have had a lot of interest, so I have decided to go ahead and offer my version for sale.

Each RSD Deck is made to order and usually ships out about a week after payment is recieved. This Rear Seat Delete is designed to work with the factory panels located behind the rear seat. It is also designed to be easily installed for the weekend or permanently installed depending on your needs.

This RSD Deck kit is part PRO part DIY and must be assembled, sanded, sealed and finished by the buyer. All parts parts have been CNC'd and pre-drilled for easy assembly. Hardware not included.

At this time this RSD Deck is ONLY
available for Double Cab and Access Cab (with or without factory seats)
Unfortunately, a cubby delete version or a 60/40 split version cannot be produced at this time.

    FEATURES:
    Dimensions:
52.5" wide by 32.5" deep by 7.25" tall (Double Cab Version)
    51" wide x 22.5" deep x 8.25" tall (Access Cab Version)
    Materials: 3/4" birch plywood
    Shipping: Ships to lower 48, un-assembled in a crate (54 x 34 x 2 inches - 40lbs)
Assembly: The deck will arrive in 13 pre-cut parts. All holes come counter-sunk but must be pre-drilled before screwed and glued together. Please use 1 5/8" screws and wood glue (both not included). This must be assembled, sanded, sealed and finished by the buyer because building stuff is fun.
Finish: Your choice of Monstaliner (roll on) OR Raptor Liner (spray) OR Automotive Carpet, or however else you envision your RSD Deck to be finished.
Cargo Hatch Lids: FOUR Cargo Hatch Lids are included in this kit. The front two lids open to the area where one's feet would be, if sitting on the rear seat. The rear two lids open over to factory cargo area. The lids are latched in place by the use of magnets (not provided). To open the cargo hatch lids, simply slip your finger in the pre-cut finger hole and pull up. To close: simply place cargo hatch lid in appropriate space and magnets (must be purchased and installed by buyer) will hold lid in place, securely.
Installation: Remove rear seat and tuck rear seat belts out of the way or remove (preferred). This removal process takes about 20-30 minutes. (If installing the Access Cab (with factory seats) version, then you must remove center console by unbolting the four bolts found under the two rubber insters). The RSD Deck installs into the Tacoma cab assembled and is designed to follow the contours of the floor of rear of the cab. Can be installed for the weekend by letting it sit in place under its own weight OR can be installed more permanently using angle iron or L brackets (not provided) and piggy back the rear bolts of the front seats. (Please see image 6 this post for inspiration: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-seat-delete-decks.632134/#post-21691175 )
Tie-Downs: This Rear Seat Delete Deck is designed to use (4) D-rings by US CARGO CONTROL D-Rings (no affiliation). The tie-downs can be found here: https://www.uscargocontrol.com/products/2-track-anchor-point-tie-down-kit-black

**PLEASE NOTE: If you plan on using these recommended tie-downs, you MUST purchase (4) 1/4-20 x 2" flat head bolts. These bolts will be used to mount the front two d-rings.**

***If wanted, you can used a different tie-down system like the one found here https://www.uscargocontrol.com/products/airline-track-24-aluminum-finish-logistic-track or one of your choosing.***

    PRICE:
    Cost: $700
Shipping: additional $100 (Includes crating, packing and shipping to anywhere in lower 48 states)
    Payment: Venmo is preferred.

    ORDER:
DM and we will get things started.

Once payment is received in full, your order will be placed in the queue.

    Sorry, no refunds.

    FAQ:
    1. Do the front seats slide back all the way with this RSD Deck installed?
    Yes

    2. Is this RSD Deck just set in the truck, or how is it bolted down?
Designed to be "set" in the truck but can be easily modified to be permanently installed at your discretion.

    3. Do you know if this RSD Deck will fit for those with a factory sub enclosure behind the rear passenger seat?
Yes it will work with factory sub installed (verified in 3rd Gen Tacoma).

    4. Will this RSD Deck still work if I wanted to remove the rear factory panels anyways?
Yes! It will still fit just fine. In fact, one of our customers has done this and replaced the cubbies with a molle system.

    5. How long would it take you to create the kit and get it in shipped?
After payment is received, it takes about a week to CNC mil and pack the RSD Deck. Shipping normally takes a few days to a week.

    6. What shipping company do you use?
    UPS via Shipnerd.

    7. Where are you located? Can I pick up if local instead of paying for shipping?
The shop is located in Los Angeles. If you would like to pick up, then we can arrange that.

    8. What is the preferred method of payment?
    Venmo

    9. Why does the RSD Deck for the access cab costs the same price as the one meant for a double cab?
Even though there are slight variations when comparing the two RSD Decks, the material needed for both designs is practically the same as well as the time on the CNC machine. Material and CNC Time are the two main factors that determine the price.

    10. What determines the price?
Cost of materials which have increased due to pandemic. Not to mention the cost of running the CNC and the time it took to develop this quality design.

    11. Can I order a custom RSD Deck?
    Unfortunately not at this time.

    12. Are assembly instructions included?
•No. Please visit this link for assembly instructions: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-seat-delete-decks.632134/page-12#post-25588580

    11. What other items do I need to purchase to assemble this RSD Delete?

    ASSEMBLY:
    • Wood Glue
    • 1 5/8" wood screws
    • Sand paper: 80, 120, 220 grit
    • Bondo: All-purpose Bondo (no affiliation)
    • Oil Based Wood Sealer: Minwax Oil Based Polyurethane (recommended - no affiliation)

    FINISHING:
    • Finish coat: Monstaliner or Raptor Liner or one of your choice
    • Magnets (for cargo hatch lids): (48) 6MM WIDE x 8MM TALL Magnets similar to these (no affiliation)
    https://tinyurl.com/k4zh7wkr
    • Super Glue or Epoxy
    • Tie-Downs (if wanted) such as these (no affiliation): https://tinyurl.com/ddv6aeeh
    • If you use the recommended tie-downs, then you must purchase (4) 1/4-20 x 2" flat head bolts

    13. Which material do you personally recommend to use as a finish for this RSD deck?
I personally used the roll-on bed liner by Monstaliner. I did have an issue as one of the pints arrived expired, which gave me some issues when rolling it on. (I didn't know it was expired until after the fact). Monstaliner was quick to replace the pint, however, I had to put in some extra effort to remove the expired coating. In the end, everything worked out. I have used Raptor Liner on other builds. It's good. A little more difficult to control the texture of the final coating compared to Monstaliner, but that's just my experience.

    14. What cargo hardware do you recommend?
I recommend these: https://tinyurl.com/ddv6aeeh If you use these, you will need to purchase (4) 1/4-20 x 2" flat head bolts

    15. Can I pay for you to assemble and finish the RSD Deck? Can you ship it finished?
    No.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE INTEREST!

super happy how this turned out. Dog loves it. The fit is perfect. Got to customize it to the way I wanted. Also to anyone who gets this I’d take Aaron’s suggestion on the monster liner over the raptor liner. I also installed sound proofing material on the underside of mine

Still doing some final touch ups but highly recommend this deck! Shipping was incredibly fast, assembly was easy, and it’s a perfect fit. I went with the raptor liner route and recommend 4 cans if you just plan on coating the top. I did regular rattle can on the bottom as well as noico mat. Thanks again!

Well, I may have been one of the first buyers but took way too long to get around to posting this. Here is my build thread for this deck kit. I HIGHLY recommend this deck to anyone interested. This is leagues better looking then the Goose Gear kit, and is much more thought out and customizable to your specific needs. On top of the obvious - seller has outstanding service and is extremely personable. Buy with confidence!!

I need the truck with the rear Seats removed in order to take measurements. Will probably need to test fit the first design and make a few adjustments.

yes seats slide all the way back
