Did some flexing today, yes I took pictures but I was legit stuck at this point and was assessing where to go. Was in 4low and couldn’t put power to the wheels that needed it. Put in 4hi and no problem. Kohala mountain HI.
As usual the photos don’t do it justice…

Wouldn't have helped, good clutch and throttle management + ATRAC achieves the same thing. Even gotten smoky brakes at one point lol. CRAWL can't find grip if there's none to find. That shifty slippery rock was just impossible to find traction on, walking on it was hard lol. On the way down my buddy's D1 locked up trying to stop from what couldn't have been more than a quarter of a mile an hour(we were going as slow as we could riding the brakes, that sketchy) and slid straight back 4 or 5 feet.

Did you go for a dip in funnel lake? Looks a little busy there.

Yeah it was a little too busy for my liking so we camped out on the ridge above. Went in about mid calf while down there though, not nearly as cold as Lone Pine Creek.

Drove over Ophir Pass (Colorado) Wednesday. Great fun and spectacular views. The shale portion was MUCH rougher than I remembered from previous trips. Just have to go slow.

Drove down this bumpy trail and then drove over a really bumpy trail which definitely pushed the limits of my stock DCLB in terms of clearance, picking the right line made the difference between gauging the underside with jagged lava or not… was definitely close to taking my rear bumper off at one point.

Thanks, beautiful and dangerous, sadly two shore fisherman died at this spot last week. I tried to fly my drone but way too windy, the ocean had sooo much energy it was crazy…

Just came back from a week in the Cariboo Chilcotin region of BC. We stayed on Forest Service Roads as much as possible.

The central interior is rather dry.

Looks awesome. Where is this? Don't need exact coordinates if you're not into that.
