    going to be fun!
it is a separate part they're hard to check if you set a Ohm meter at 20K it should read about 12K if bad I am told.

Ice makers are some of the hardest thing to diagnose by the way we always just replaced them.

First time doing this but here's a Monday recap of some things we talked about......

    Spark plug(s)
Adding a breaker in a panel
    Spider/snake
    Machining
    HR trips
    Leaks
    Buckets
    Nair
    Maters
    Bullet length
    Stock market
    Jacks
    Sac trimmage
    Part time workers
    Chickens
    Clam cake
    Dishwashers
    Ice makers
    Bed bars
    Paint

I think the only thing solved on the whole list yesterday was the dishwasher (replaced).

If we're going to be a good shop model we need to step up our game

That's a great question, we will tackle that another day :anonymous:

Drew's ice maker is more important right now.

I was more referring to if there was a way to figure out if I needed the just the cycling thermostat:

    https://www.repairpartsinc.com/prod...ker-cycling-thermostat-replacement-kit-rp826/

    or the entire assembly:

    https://www.amazon.com/W10882923-ClimaTek-Replacement-Whirlpool-Refrigerator/dp/B08DQ3P16Q

I'll give that a shot tonight.
Kind of why I was wondering if I just bite the bullet and order the entire thing but I'm just a monkey with a screwdriver who knows next to nothing about appliances.

When it comes to appliances this is me too. I thought our pressure motor was out on the dishwasher cause everything else worked. After hooking a drop cord and some naked wires to that motor and it worked, the wife went and got a new one. I hate throwing parts at something and not knowing if it'll fix it and I hate calling someone to work on it even worse. I really think it was something in the board now but I won't know so we'll shoot it and see if that helps it :D

    Shooting it always helps.

Also, I suddenly just had this mental image of you standing next to a mill while it's doing whatever job you have it doing, on your phone, not caring about whatever you boss thinks and I had a good laugh...

I'm alright spending the $100 or so to fix it if we're reasonably sure the $100 WILL fix it. If not, I'm better off with a new fridge.
