Just remember when buying recovery equipment, if you buy cheap you may be left stranded.

unpopular opinion. I’ve saved myself 2 times and some one else truck with the same type as above.

I like quality stuff just as much as the next guy but these get tossed around and sit in the weather (on most rigs when mounted to the rack or bed) and that’s not good for the product.

    Oh, Hey Timm!

Agree, I don’t own traction boards and haven’t tried these but saw an add for them and thought I would share. :fistbump:

My Xbull’s have been great. Used them at least 15 times and the lugs haven’t worn down. Fraction of the price of Maxtrax and they work as they should

shh don’t say that out loud. It offends people.

You have to pay the over priced markups to be relevant.

For most slippery situations when you got open diffs these should definitely help.

Got mine for half price. Foo.

Now I have more crap to throw in my truck. Read the reviews, and upon delivery was really impressed with how solid they are. But I went Amazon route where they are only 64 bucks. They came with the bag and mounting hardware as well.

Haven't used them yet but for $55 shipped they will pay for themselves the 1st time I use them.

This was my mentality as well. I can't justify the big $$$ of the top name brands but likely with how I use my truck they won't see a ton of use anyway. Even if these X-Bull's only work one time they'll be worth it and I used the money I saved on some other helpful recovery and offroad supplies.

on the walmart website it shows gen 2 and gen 3.

gen 2 are $50 and gen 3 are $60-70 depending on color.

anyone know the difference in the two generations? theres a little ^ at the end of the gen 3, but thats the only difference i see

No idea what gen, but I noticed some more expensive ones on Amazon. Only difference that I noted was the length. I don't recall the difference, but it was something like 4 or 6 inches.

I believe this is the main difference, length.

Unfortunately the prices on Amazon just jumped about $30. I had red gen 3s in my cart for about $64, got the notification they jumped up to $95

I believe I read somewhere that the Gen3 used a newer/updated material for strength. I just ordered a set from Walmart for $69. AZ is $95.
