2021 Formula 1 Season Paddock

I think Toto and and Merc are in a tough spot with Russell. If they don't promote him they could lose him to another team at worst and lose his trust at best. My money is on Russel to Merc.

Hamilton has been saying for ages there's nothing more he wants than close racing/competition. He's a multi world champion, a great driver and he should be able to handle the heat. If Russell can bring it (which I think he can) it will be an exciting season. Especially if McLaren can step it up another gear with the new car.

What's the consensus on Bottas' skill? Is he good but told by Merc to not beat Hamilton or is he just not that good outside of driving a Merc vehicle?

I read recently that Toto had a talk with Valerie about taking team orders like a good girl because Hamilton was the only one with a chance of beating Max.

I wonder what deal they have financially. Because he dropped from a p2 to a p3 without putting up a battle. I’m sure they get paid performance bonuses for finishing top 3, maybe he gets an extra bonus for spreading em…
