So I googled the issue and found a couple forms here and there on here, but I wanted to see if I could find an answer specifically for my issue. For a while I had an issue where my AC only worked on high, then one day I had a passenger who kicked one of the wires under the dash on accident and it all started working. From there I found if my AC only worked on high I could wiggle the wire in just the right way and it would all work. Then that stopped working and it only worked on high. Now it no longer works and I found the wire is now burning out (it’s turning black and is hot when trying to mess with it). Is it just that wire or is the whole motor bad?

My truck had the same issue about a month ago. It would only work on high, and sometimes it would work on the other settings. Not sure what they shop did, but I took it in for an oil change and when I picked it up it was fixed. It has been good for about a month now.

It wasn't described/charged on your work ticket?

Go back and ask........ learning is a good thing.

    In order of probability

    Resistor / harness connection
    Blower Connection
    Blower control switch on dash

    Inspection all connectors
Start with the easiest - The resistor

I think the blower motor issue is common to us all (2nd Gen). Mine is a 2010, and that has been a problem for most of the years. I have neglected to replace it but instead, I have cleaned the contacts (one gets tarnished more) and my motor will work on all speeds instead of just high for a long time. I warn passengers to resist putting their toes to high on the floor mat, but it still happens!
