What is the recommended brand and size battery for my 2016 Tacoma "Limited" ? I have read where Costco's Interstate 27F is one, but the Length is 2" longer and the Height is 1" higher

Walmart's Everstart Maxx 35N is only 1" higher, i really don't want to modify the mounting tray.

Are either one of these batteries a good replacement and if not what have other owners used?

I currently still have the original battery, but feel it's time to replace.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanx
    Ken

Battery is a Group 24F; whatever your preference is brand & cost-wise for a 24F.

If you snag a battery tray from a 2nd Gen with tow package then a 27F will drop right in.

Costco 24F.....can't beat the warranty and hassle free returns. It will be the last battery you will ever buy.

Those of us who may or may not be on the lazier end of the spectrum might ask what the part number of said tray is...

Just a heads up to folks looking at that 2nd gen battery tray: the ones you’ll get under that product code are plastic and cost upwards of $40-50 shipped. I ordered one thinking they were metal, but opted to cut the edges off the 24f tray as others have done and it works flawlessly. Get a good set of J-hooks and a new tie down and you are set. No need to waste money on that thin plastic tray that won’t do anything the stock one won’t. The X2 is beefy too!
