    My 4wd actuator is out and the shop is quoting $1250 for just the part alone. Can anyone give me a parts number for this as I know it isn't that much elsewhere. It's a 2010 4wd 2.7l 4 cylinder manual. Don't know if the 2.7l and the 4.0 are the same actuator

    All stock, baby!
    The two for my truck (probably the same as yours if 2nd gen) would be as follows at McGeorge Toyota Parts:

    Front Differential - Actuator Assembly - Toyota (41400-35034) $306.45
    Transfer Case Motor - Toyota (36410-34015) $831.45

    There are several threads here on TW that cover disassembly, inspection and testing of these two components. You can start here for the transfer case and it should help you tackle the job.
