I once had to drag a trunk across a gravel driveway. Can you guess what got lodged in the bark fissures and I found with my chain?

Ran the 500i for a few tanks last week. Spins chain on a 36” bar w/ absolutely no effort.
It’s going to turn my 440 and 460 into paper weights.

I bought this 80V unit since I love the weed whacker so much and have a couple batteries ($$$$$) and charger

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SU75KPU?ie=UTF8

I'm telling you it's a beast and 8AM cutting, most yard work, etc.....PERFECT.

    PS EDIT:

Very nice. I am NOT in love with their forced method of grabbing the safety bar, fairly awkward especially with gloves on.

Honestly it's limped along for years and I've gotten tired of always having to use starting fluid on it. My uncle (pro arborist) recommended the 261. I also have a 20V small DeWalt Chainsaw for small stuff so I don't mind getting a larger saw but I was thinking something cheaper like the 271. I don't mind spending the money but it won't be used super regularly. I do have a new house with probably two days worth of felling and bucking just to get started though. I may appreciate the added vibration dampening? Saw will only get used a couple times a year but I want to use it trouble free for the next 20 years. I certainly don't need the PRO model but I know it's much more serviceable and I don't mind "buy once, cry once".

I have the 251 wood boss. I like it, however, this year, I realized that it's just barely enough. It gets the job done, but I wouldn't mind having some engine work done and a bigger bar. Not sure if any place locally does any engine work on saws. Thinking of leaving it stock, toss a bigger bar on it so, if the day comes to upgrade, I can simply sell it or, have the engine work done and then get a bigger saw and have the best of both worlds. Here's a few jobs that saw has been able to handle:

My 028 has the same power as that wood boss (3.0 HP) and I have always felt the same, just barely enough to get the job done. So that's why buying new, I would really like more power. The 271 has about 0.5 more HP, the 261 is a full 4.0 HP and is about 1.5 pounds lighter than the 271.

I run the husky 550xp mark2 with a 20” bar and love it…. I spent 670.00 with tax and it works for me… If I were you, find something in the weight to power ratio you want and go for it…. 201D02FE-5727-40CB-ABCA-1385D3B66B35.jpgEC6E6E90-581C-47F7-A5F2-A52992B97BA4.jpgD597D81C-D875-4064-BC76-5756EB3B56CB.jpg All cut by 2 of these 550xp saws. Brother joe and I have like saws. We have over 20 cords ready to give/sell this coming season …. Saying this…. I guess it depends how much you use a saw BUT if I’m getting into big stuff… I know I have something that’ll get the job done. 600.00 is a good starting point in my book

I’m think I’ll be happiest with the 261.

That's a great saw. My brother runs a 346xp that's ported and runs as strong as a stock 60cc. I run a ported 359 but if I had to choose just one saw I'd do a souped up 50cc Husky.

I have almost 3 gallons through it and this will be its second season… we don’t do wood professionally… we do it to keep brother joe and I busy in the colder season… I call it the beer belly season!! Almost there

Same here, more of a hobbyist thing and helping friends cut trees down. You'll enjoy it even more when you get your 550xp ported and running like a banshee :headbang:

Just 2 horses in my stable. MS210 and MS261. Both are all I need for what I do. Had the 210 for about 12 years and the thing has been unbelievable for a homeowner series. It had no business cutting some of the things it did. I wanted an upgrade and went with the 261 due to HP/Weight ratio, it's a powerhouse for it's size. Still use the 210 for smaller stuff, but the 261 comes out for the bigger stuff. The 210 is in the back of my truck pretty much anytime I go camping, fishing, hunting, etc.
