Hello all. I recently purchased the Mt Shasta hybrid RTT from CVT. It is there earlier generation tent, includes the extended fly version with annex. One of the concerns of the earlier gen tent is how tight the travel cover is. Removal and install of the cover pretty difficult and time consuming. In fact, in using my tent this past weekend, I had the zipper break (was able to repair fortunately).

I was wondering if anyone else has this same issue and what you did to resolve it. I contacted CVT about the following link,

    https://cascadiatents.com/travel-cover.html

however, they claim this will not work with the early gen model. I somehow think I can get this to work.

    Thanks for your time.

Anyone doing modifications to their tent covers on the older generations?

    Update:
This afternoon I am meeting with the upholstery shop to finalize the details on making me a new cover. Best part about this place is its called Mom and Pop Automotive, Pop works on cars, Mom does upholstery. She said she's excited to do this project. The idea came from this youtube video...
