Covering up TRD Pro Branding

Hey y’all,

I may be pulling the trigger on the OEM TRD Pro headlights from ebay.

but I wanted to know… is there a way that the TRD Pro branding can be covered? I have an SR and don’t feel it’s right for me to have TRD Pro branding on my truck

I’d be getting both TRD pro headlights for $600. don’t really wanna spend $1500 on headlights

Well I never buy used anything so I won’t steal it from them

 

I got mine from BAM or Olathe. eBay is hard for me to trust with headlights. Usually the seller is a dealer though. But still. Gotta be careful on those. Ps The dealer way “over packaged” them, two 3’ cube of boxes showed up, a day apart. One had a substantial footprint on the side.

just rock it! Rest assured you are not the only person running TRD Pro LED headlights on a non Pro truck. To me, i would prefer them as they don't have the chrome strip by the side marker.

 

Two options.

open them up and take out the TRD / PRO clip plates.

put a sticker over it. Still might not cover at all angles as the lens has space from the plates and can't make it too large to cover up the output light

 

Easiest option is to not worry about it. Only people that would say something are losers anyways.

Second option is to open up the headlight and change that piece out.

 

they are used, with broken tabs, but still functional.

 

Hit up @no vtec 4me He can work some magic on the TRD things as well as repair the broken tabs maybe?

 

I wouldn't sweat it. Technically they are a TRD Pro headlights.

 

Are they the actual LED headlights or just the LED daytime running light version? If they're just the daytime running light not worth it IMO.

I would not worry about covering it up. I was happy to find most Tacoma folk are not the upbadge gestapo you commonly see with other brand fanboys!
