No Traction Control Button

I’ve been trynna find out how to turn off traction control in my 07 XRunner, everywhere I see says to just push the button but I don’t have one

 

Single press enables Auto LSD.
Press and hold for 3 sec disables traction control and stability control.

 

You may have an early 07 without traction control. My 06 doesnt have the button either. From what Ive read the earlier models had mechanical LSD and later had electronic

 

Toyota put a "clutch type" (mechanical) LSD in the 05-08 X-Runners. They went to the "electronic" LSD in 2009.

 

Can you explain kore how that works in the 05-08 cause I have one and does that mean that I do have traction control and can’t turn it off ? Cause when my car hit the now or rain it spins with no problem all over the place thanks

 

It’s called a real truck haha. Doesn’t have traction control. Has limited slip some

Yep, if you were to turn off the traction control it would be worse. But like they said. You don't have traction control. Maybe put some more weight in the rear with some better tires.

 

That had me baffled too at first. My 08 has LSD with obviously no switch

 

My main reason I bought this 08 was to stay as hammer and anvil, stone age hard core real truck as possile. A plus it's in a newish package. I love it, a real LSD, A real timing chain, no high wear turbo just big cubes, no excessive electronic ovet load with high maintenance. Limited look at me non necessities. Toyota quality. They COULD have run rear disc though.
