    Get aspherical mirrors from @SMKYTXN, they're great.

    I just ordered both of these mirrors for my double cab. Should get them early next week and installed. I actually dont have a huge issue with the driver side as a quick head turn gives me a good view, but my passenger side I have always felt has been an issue. I will install both and see how I feel. I may swap back to the normal drivers side... who knows.

    I first had tried the little $2 mirrors and was not happy with them. Actually I tried two different kinds of them from different manufacturers. The fisheye distortion, and double image between the original mirror and the fisheye, were too distracting for me. Too much to try and look at from afar (especially passenger side), seemed like I was trying to decipher too many dimensions at once (in a split second), especially at night they were awful. The little fisheye was nothing but lights and movement at night.

    So I did try the little mirrors, aiming the sideviews as is, to see the blind spot and did test drive a vehicle with the RAV4 mirror. For me there was no comparison. The RAV4 mirrors gave me a perfect and clear view of everything. Mission acomplished! Been an interesting discussion though, seeing the different solutions.

    Glad you found a workable solution. I definately would get those rav4 mirrors if i didnt have the BSM. I would even get them if they had those same rav4 mirrors with the BSM light.

    Hi all, reigniting this thread to see what the best solution is here several years later. I have a 2017 Tacoma with access cab and want a blind spot solution. Ideally with the BSW lights but that doesn't seem like an option. Is replacing the mirrors with these still the best option? https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-4Runner-Conversion-87961-42D20-87931-42D50/dp/B086XK3SGX
    Just checking in before I purchase in case there has been an advancement since this thread died.

    I think there’s nothing new on the market for what you’re seeking.
    Your welcome.

    I've seen people mention the spotter mirrors. I do not have any personal experience with them though, just figured I'd mention them for you to look into (currently out of stock, but says restock Sept. 2021).

    Used to have a CR-V that had this (camera), but only on the right side. They also subsequently got rid of the feature on later models. It was actually a really nice and very useful feature.

    I've got Spotter mirrors on my SR5. They're not the answer to all problems but I'd rather have them than not. About $160 (without the BSM) well spent.

    The cons are they're convex so everything you see in them is way smaller. Basically, without having to decipher what you see in them, if they're adjusted correctly and something is larger than a peanut then that something is closer than you think. Also, if after a while you ignore them when looking in the 'stock' part, an approaching vehicle can disappear. The pros are, though, after a while you're able to ignore them when looking in the 'stock' part. You only see them when you force yourself to look into them.

    But... I always shoulder check too unless I know any vehicles on either side of me are well in the distance.

    Well darn, I didn't even pay attention to the model compatibility. But from the review above it doesn't sound like they are any better than other cheaper options out there... just no bsm compatibility.

    A few.
    I put the stick on blindspot mirrors on about every vehicle Ive owned except for my current 2019 tacoma because it has the BSM. Took some time to trust and get used to and there is always the possibility of thinking its on when it accidently got turned off.

    The last set of mirrors I used I got from Amazon. They were nicer than the typical cheap ones auto parts stores sell. And they are thinner and look better almost like factory.

    Something along the lines of these;

    Get wide angle mirrors and adjust them properly. Also adjust your seating position.
