    Hello again,

My 2003 tacoma passenger side door handle is cracked on the inner side and I'm leaning toward replacing it. There are some scary negative reviews on some of the aftermarket ones found on Amazon.

Does anyone have any suggestions on specific aftermarket brands that have proven to work well over time without leaking?

    Thanks

I've had worse luck with the OEM ones than the cheap aftermarket ones.

I used the T1A branded ones off Amazon last time and they've held up well so far.

Plus, OEM handles are nearly $200 depending on where you get them. It's such an easy item to replace (and they are just as likely to break IMO), that I would just get the less expensive option.

T1A also makes a metal version of our handles that others on here have been getting and say they are worth the $

Amazon has metal replacement handles that are very good and much cheaper than OEM. I paid around $50 for the pair.

I thought replacing these was just part of the monthly maintenance routine on our trucks? ;)

I plan to grab those metal ones that Vann and eon_blue mentioned next time my plastic ones crap out.

Got mine from autozone. Toyota guy needed vin, and my life history before he could tell me which one I needed. Went to autozone fixed me right up for 10 or 15 bucks.
