Lurker here since January 2021 when I purchased my '21 SR5 DCSB. I've benefited greatly from the info on this site so I thought I would share a mod I just installed (5 minutes, $23) hoping it might help someone else.

I bought this cover in April of this year and am very satisfied with it.

My only real complaint is the fairly severe flapping of the cover material at highway speeds (particularly immediately behind the cab). Seems to me that over time, this could create rips in the cover material, ruining the tonneau.

    Bought these on Amazon:

I inserted these plastic sheets horizontally between the tonneau cover material and the support braces. They simply slip in and are held in place by the tension between the braces and the cover material. One near the cab and one nearer the tailgate. Obviously, in order to fold the cover back, these will need to be removed but they install so easily, I don't think this is much of a drawback.

Tested these this morning and at 75 mph the buffeting was reduced tremendously. I'm hoping this preserves the tonneau cover material.

    Hope this helps someone.

You're second link is the same as the first, not the support braces you are talking about

I did a similar thing with my roll up tonneau. Used hard shell canopy sealing foam from Lowes on top of the cross rails. It was a big improvement.
