Not quite the worst day in the basin but up there. Think the worst visibility had to be under two miles. Couldn't see town that day.

Will say least one positive...keeps things a bit cooler and being outside all day it's nice not having the sun beating on you while working.

was the worst Id seen it all summer I think, including when there were fires 30mins away. Pretty odd shift in the smoke..

Overall views won't be great. But its still worth the effort. All it takes is a wind shift or a small rain storm and things are clear for a day.

Tons of stuff in the Big Horns with some decent dirt roads to check out. You won't struggle to find a place to camp that isn't a camp ground.

Not sure where you're headed to MT but smoke has been bad. But it is starting to snow up high(not sticking yet) so things should change for the better hopefully. Be cold up there and be ready for snow overnight though no matter what. It's bound to happen in Sept.

Welp. Discount called and said they can no longer order MTRs because Goodyear has discontinued them. That kinda blows.

The only other 35" MT x 17" rim in a C or D load range is Nitto Trail Grapplers or Mickey Thompson Bajas. Interestingly, the Trail Graps are 11.5" wide - one of the few skinny 35's.

Might want to reach out to Summit. There website indicate this is a special order situation. Maybe there are some left.

I've got the Kenda ATs and have been happy with them. I know plenty running the RTs though. They have a 3 ply sidewall and come in some awesome sizes like the 35x10.50. The only benefit to the ATs is they're snowflake rated, and price. Wouldn't hesitate to run another set.

The new Maxxis RAZR AT is cheaper, snowflake rated, and has some skinnier sizes too. 35x11.50. Mickey Thompson Baja ATs as well.

Nice to see lots more options in the aggressive AT world. No reason to pay too much for Toyos, BFGs, or GYs.

The Kenda Klever RTs in pics look like GY Duratracs. In person do they look like them?

Holy moly those Bighorns are pricey.

I suppose one of the things I like about the Goodyears is that they're made in the US. Only other one is Cooper, but after multiple reviews of the STT Pros I won't go that route.

I could see going to an aggressive R/T tire, I need something with a fair amount of void space to clear out all the sloppy stuff we get around here.

Kenda RT 35x10.5r17 are D rated if my memory is right.

I don't think so. I think you are thinking of another budget tire that I can't think of right now.

wow I had no idea they did that. That means they no longer make a MT tire at all. Wow.

That sucks. Wonder if the 275s are in stock.

    I don't think so.

Maybe it means they're coming out with a new MT that lasts more than 15k miles and actually does something in the snow. :stirthepot:

lol mine lasted a long time. So did Dan's. They were awesome in the dirt too. I still don't think there was a better tire offroad.

    Death traps on ice though.

Yeah I would think if they're coming out with a 3rd gen version or something, they would do that first like BFG did.
