I got the latches with the tab locks on the bottom, therefore I can lift the extender straight up and unlatch it, rather than a 45 degree angle. Once lifted, I pull the extender back a few inches, allowing the the tonneau latches to operate uninterrupted, then just slip back into the latches and push both sides down to lock it in.

So today I finished my arb install, last night I stayed up setting up cables amd heat shrinking. I will find way to post a link to all the pics. I will say this was a lot of stuff. I ordered the bed install kit from expedition essentials with long wiring harness and power relocation kit.

I tried to use the passenger side box with power but the template they sent would drill my holes way to close to the edges and I triple checked. So I put that side back together. Went to the drivers side cut a whole, found a storage box and door used about 1 hr away so I went to get it, and cut out the box and used the frame and storage door. I will include one pic so you can see how it came out.

The door does shut with the coupler installed with the provided spacers with the bed box kit. It is wired up to my switch pro. I’m new to this forum but I love it. I got a lot of help from some posts and pictures and links provided. I’m gonna make a video on the whole install to explain everything in the weeks to come. I throw it on YouTube.

What setup are you running? Is this just for tire inflation or do you have front and rear lockers setup?

I’m just using it for tires and small stuff for now, when I regear I will probably add air lockers, I did not cut up my harness I left it intact just wrapped those plugs I wasn’t using for later on it will make install easier.

It would definitely make the most of your setup for sure. Air lockers are the best options in my opinion. Easy on/ off and very little maintenance. Do you plan to do the regearing yourself? Or take it to a shop

Definitely a shop, my truck has rear E-locker already but I haven’t done any research on how that works with air lockers amd or what I can add or take off.

You'll have to choose one or the other. E-locker is nice because it's stock and requires no changes but the downside is that it only works in low range. No easy fix to that unless I'm unaware of a new update. Air locker would cost you some money and labor but you would have complete control on when it was locked/ unlocked and could be shifted whenever. I believe the arb cases go for around 800 each :D

I’ll have to look into it. I appreciate the info, I’m waiting on my bumper to come In and I have to add my winch. Later this month. Those are my next mods and I’m done for alittle while.

For sure! I do this stuff for a living so I have a pretty in- depth knowledge of how it all works. Feel free to message me if you ever have a question! A good way to save a little coin is to buy the pre-setup diffs from east coast gear supply, install them yourself and then send them your old ones as cores. You can order them with any locker/ gear ratio you could probably want with many options. They're a very reputable company. Good luck with your build!

Change oil and diff fluids. transfer case soon. Need to source the oil. Had 5100's set at 1.1 in the front and yesterday put in a 1/2 in spacer for the rear. Alignment done today. It was a good couple days.Tacoma 1-1-2.jpg Tacoma 1-1-2.jpg

I was just thinking about this Jeep in my rear view today. Much newer, but definitely built up. It’s funny cuz they sometimes look like someone is giving the butthole pucker/mouth face.
