    Those definitely look sharp.

    Seems like no matter what I fix on this truck, there’s always something tempting me to go an extra 50% on price :facepalm:

    Yeah true, but I mainly got it for it's semi factory look, all the needed bungs were exactly where the should be and I knew the boots and clamps were already sized right and the bend was perfect.

    Nothing left to chance.

    Now on my 2nd gen I went the full custom route due to changing to an FJ cruiser filter box.

    But that was a much more simple almost directly straight run, and even still I ran into challenges I had to come up with solutions for.

    Didn’t even think of that.

    Is OEM the only one that plugs right in? Seems like I’d have to modify the connecting hoses to make one of the others work.

    OEM is going to be the best quality for plug and play. (but expensive)
    Aftermarket replacement may fail prematurely. (but cheap)
    Aftermarket performance is what I was saying to avoid shelling for.

    I used to sell for Toyota back when they still made FJ’s and the oil filter placement alone made me want one.

    Easily my favorite vehicle out there.

    I have had this one on my truck for 4 years and it's still going strong. I haven't put a lot of miles on the truck but the ones I have put on have been pretty extreme rock crawling type stuff.

    Normally I'd advocate for OEM parts but when mine broke I couldn't wait a week for the replacement and Amazon was next day.

    on certain years there are additonal bits required for the replacement factory air tube to fit. IIRC there is an adaptor and additional hose for early first gen 3.4's.

    Running the same unit with no problems 2 years now. Definitely more flimsy unit and it bunches up in a spot but does the job and no issues
