OEM LED Headlight Conversion Harness

So, the latest alert just bumped expectations to mid October and that gave me the closest thing to a heart attack.

So I'm now making arrangements to purchase from the worlds greatest friend who ever existed who may be able to bail me out of this hole I'm in. Boy will I owe him.

Up next, our MESO 3rd brake light

 

And the drama continues. While I now have some for sure connectors heading my way via priority mail, I just got a notice that my original order is at my local USPS and I should come get it. So I booked it over there before even checking hours and they are all closed up of course.

So maybe Monday I can get them, as long as they don’t put them on a truck and deliver at 7pm or something. If they show up I’ll finish all the ones I have ready to send and get them out the door.

One way or another these orders are going out next week.

 

Ok, it’s in. Opened and verified. I believe I have missed all the cutoffs today but for sure stuff goes out Monday morning.

Also, anyone local or local-ish, you can for sure come pick up, I'm 1/4 mile from the I5, DM if you want that option. I think at least one guy is going to do that.

 

I put together a few pair right now out of uncontrolled excitement. I’ll do the others and run them all through the tester tonight. The wait has ended.

OK, so I'll ask the same question for the 50th time, only because I've been known to buy stuff that I THOUGHT was supposed to work in my twisted mind, but clearly didn't. In a nutshell, I can buy this harness without the DRL port (no interest in any other lighting), buy a pair of factory LED headlights from a 2020 PRO, install the lights, plug in the harness, and I'm off to the races?

 

The SR turn signal connector is different. So, no, you can't buy this harness. However, you can buy the SR compatible harness from @Puppypunter with DRL capability _or_ you can proposition him for a DRL-less option if you really want to pinch pennies.

 

OK, anyone following along for status updates or whatnot, or maybe just talking to myself, here's the current scoop.

All harnesses paid for prior to today have shipped.

I am short one and exactly one H9 terminal (not connector, I now have a plethora of H9 connectors) to finish the harness ordered a long ago but paid for this morning. Literally one single terminal and that thing can ship. I'm going to scrounge everywhere for it.

Now, that brings up the question of how do I have connectors without terminals? They should have all come together but somehow / for some reason the order was split into two packages and that other package apparently bounced back to the point of origin before being re-routed to me. I really don't understand what happened. It shows as arriving the 14th or 15th but who knows what faith we have in that.

Now, the one reason why I'm not stressed out is my BFF Johnny has 600 terminals inbound to me from Saturday morning so for sure they arrive this week and then I'll be back up and cranking these out.

Someone just ordered a few minutes ago, prompting this status update. Everyone who paid prior to today should have theirs in the ever-so-competent hands of the united postal service. You should also have an email with tracking info. It was quite a relief getting all those boxes out the door finally. Many are heading to the Golden state so you should get them soon. The east coast ones may take a few extra days though. Please feel free to post photos of your headlights once installed, I always appreciate a bit of good cheer like that and who doesn't like flashy led lighting?

I'm also making more, a bunch more, so I can get ahead of the game. Just short on H9 terminals (and low on seals) until Johnny's goodies arrive.

So, overall good news and I'm out of the big hole I put myself into, back in biz.

Last, I'm human, I can make a mistake, and if I do I will make it right, just hit me up via DM if you're missing something or confused about something or can't figure out how to get things working or I made a mistake and did something wrong. I visually double-checked things multiple times and ran a few through my bench tester to make sure they work but I did not spend the extra time testing every single harness because that would have delayed sending them and it was already such a long wait.

I try to make everything as intuitive as I can think of (hence the wire labels) so that you can spend more time enjoying your truck and less time being confused about how to get the wires connected but I'm also happy to try to help out with any confusion and I'll use that opportunity to brainstorm ways to make things even more obvious.

Got mine yesterday; a day earlier than expected! Now I just need to scrape up the rest of the cash for the headlights.
Thinking about going with the TRD Pro ones over the regular plain led ones.
