Sure, the hose and zip ties only add up to $2. So, if you want it that way….it would be $40.

Ok. I see what you wrote, but how does it drip in the same spot when you are driving? It cant. The wind turbulence is distributing, then shortly after, air drying the drip….

Also , you would need an incredible amount of force/pressure to ‘erode’ the frame or its coating . Dripping in the same spot wouldnt cause any significant ‘erosion’ . Not after 6 mos , not after 15 years.
The drips dont have magic corrosive properties, and agreed like you said the issue isn’t the frame getting wet.

I just want to learn, Im not being a wiseass and Im not trying to mess with OP’s gig. Id buy one if I knew how it would help me. Saying it keeps water from dripping on the frame doesn’t help me.
    Someone teach me.

This is the OP's for sale thread. Maybe your comments would be better suited for this thread:

The bigger issue is once stopped. You're still getting drainage from the AC unit once the truck is turned off. I get a big puddle under my truck when I park in the driveway, at the store, etc. If it keeps any rust off my frame then it's cheap insurance, especially since these trucks are not known for their rust resistant frames.....

I wasn't being a wise ass either or a dick etc. Go look at a second gen without some form of this mod, then make your hypothesis fit why theres a rust spot underneath the spout.

Fugit, I’m in. How do I pay? I was going to do the original mod, but that seems like excessively large hose.

Got my kit in! Such a quick and easy mod. I ran my hose a little differently

Nice kit. I’m sure it’s fine, but I’m curious to know why not use the same diameter tubing as stock and larger inner diameter on the aluminum fitting? Seems to be a rather large step down in diameter.

You can do it however one likes. My goal was to provide an exit hose that could easily be re routed as well as not be overkill. The 1/4 hose tucks nicely behind the furthest back flap. I could have done the larger diameter hose, but that wasn’t the goal from the beginning. Hope that answers your question….

Got it installed today. Its a very nice, clean, easy install/kit - Bruce is very easy to work with and shipped the product fast. I don't think the change in diameter tubing matters at all - we aren't dealing with a high fluid volume of water for it to matter.

Thanks for the honest and down to earth review. Glad the install was a breeze, and you’re absolutely right…..not a lot of volume and no pressure at all. No real need to use any larger hose diameter. Thanks again brother…

Got mine today and it took me longer to get onto my creeper than it did to install it.

Well thought out mod. Easy to install..I used hose clamps instead of the zip ties but each to his own. Great job OP.

Excellent brother, glad you are happy with it. If you get a chance, post up some pics of the hose clamp method. Thanks again for the support.

The OD of the tube is half inch; I just happened to have two small clamps leftover from a prior project.
