Yup, I get it. New injectors too I read. But we're definitely having issues now even without a supercharger. I have to admit though....I'd rather have these problems than not have the fun!

Installed the Magnuson over the weekend. It's a nice power increase. I came from Premium OVTune and there is more power across all rpms. I was especially and pleasantly surprised at the increase in power at the low rpm range. At 1,000 - 3,000 rpm, there is a nice increase in power. That is where most normal daily driving occurs. I'm a happy customer. :)

A few notes on the install:

    1) When I took the oil cooler off, I spilled a little motor oil on the ground. I would put a rag under the truck at this step.
    2) You need 2 computer files from Magnuson. 1) a calibration file (tune), and 2) the Master Key to unlock the VF software.
    3) The directions are good!
    4) Definitely install a 90 degree fitting on the boost gauge port. I could not get the original plug out and had to drill it out. Pretty simple on the bench, not so much on the truck! I installed a 90 degree barb with a plug. Still want to install a boost gauge.

Also, I don't notice a lacking in the Magnuson tune. And I enjoy having ECT back!

What is max boost under the magnuson tune? Has it increased at all throughout the tune revisions/fine tuned things?

Not sure as I don’t have my boost gauge installed. I have read about 6 psi. Others probably know this.

My gauge seems to always return "7psi" on the "Peak Boost Recall" but that must be for only a second at peak RPM.

@GoldenBrew So v8 has been released? Wonder why magnuson would still be sending out v7.

I just checked my file, also a V7, got it on Tuesday.

They gave me the choice of doing the warranty paperwork or just buying it from Amazon. lol. I'm lazy and impatient at times....amazon it was for $9 and it came the next day!

Now if we can get V8 of the tune!

Nope no Version 8, yet. They said it would be a few months and that was April. Vendor who does the Tune software made changes to a few things, along with usual business. Vendor no longer welcome here - but still drives the bus when it comes to the Tune Software and shifting logic - all of which Magnuson is hopefully learning to fully utilize. Likely Magnuson is holding back on revisions to the Tune as they have to submit them to California as part of the expensive CARB approval process.
