Let's See Some Softoppers

I have a CL search set up for toppers in a 500 mile radius

I don't even really want one, I just like looking at people's stuff

Then somehow I ended up with this contraption today

I will say I think the base truck looks pretty awesomely utilitarian with the Softopper

After 3 months my topper has finally arrived…

 

Still the single best piece of kit on my truck. If you're one the fence about one, just buy it.

 

Came in real useful working at a race this weekend.

 

I ordered mine July 18th. Still waiting but hoping I like it as much as everyone else once it finally ships.

 

Nice! I'm crewing for a 50 miler in a couple of weekends and have been thinking about sleeping in mine at/near the trailhead.

Threw caution to the wind and went tan w cement Looks good enough I guess. And seems to fit well. Ordered on July 29th received it yesterday.

 

Nice. mine worked really well for me. I have a platform in it. Definitely not for just hanging out, but great for sleeping. What 50 miler?

Wow!!! Since 7/18? That sucks. I was hoping 5 weeks at the longest. This does not give me hope. Have you called to get an updated delivery? Ugh.

 

I really think that it depends on what you ordered. I was quoted 5 weeks and got it in like 3. Calling or Emailing is a good idea.

They emailed me in August and said they were waiting on black material that was supposed to deliver 8/3. It would take 3 days to build the topper and 3 days to ship so I should expect it on 9/6. I've emailed and left a phone message since but haven't gotten a response. Radclerk1 and I are both waiting on long beds in black. He placed his order a week or two after me and is still waiting. He spoke with a CS rep earlier this week and they told him they now have a shortage of clamps.

 

Has anyone cut their front window so that it opens where the sliding window is?

 

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but has anyone figured out how to not F up top plastic side rails of the bed from the soft topper?

With my soft topper on it pulls up the side of the rails and makes a pretty sizeable gap...

If anyone even knows what I'm trying to say hahaha

 

I know exactly what you mean. I've got the same thing happening. trying to figure out a solution.
