Video game fatigue

Getting video game fatigue at the moment because my PS4 controllers are on their way out (bluetooth is wonky and turning right isn't precise anymore) yet i don't want to buy a new PS4 controller because i'm planning on buying a PS5 but i can't buy a PS5 because they are sold out everywhere. Sheesh!

Nothing can be more frustrating than playing a fast action shooter (COD) and turning/aiming right isn't precise or lags or whatever.

 

I caved, ended up buying a new PS4 controller. I don't see PS5's being in stock anytime soon and I leave my current gaming sessions frustrated due to shitty controller functionality. Hopefully this will help. I should still have a lot of 'life' left playing Cold War so this new controller should keep me content for a while.

 

50 here, been playing games since Space Invaders came out. The last few years I haven't played anything to the end. I buy a new game and put in 20-40 hours and move on. "Fatigue" about covers it. I also wear glasses now and that hasn't helped as eye fatigue sets in sooner.
My son is ready to graduate and it seems I've passed the hard-core gaming torch on to him, not sure if that's a good thing or not. It's my fault for taking him to LAN parties when he was 5 and letting him sit-in for everyone's bathroom breaks.

 

43 here I never get sick of gaming although time and wanting to hang with the family is my issue . I have almost all systems except atari ,colleco vision and Saturn but I have a jtag 360 for old school emulation . I have two boys that are (big surprise) gamers . I beat resident evil village last month on pc and all the RE remakes recently . Cyberpunk 2077 was bought and finished on my vacation (street kid). I've been really into sim racing in the last year also .

There is also a pretty good arcade close. Fortunately my ol lady is cool as ****.






It wasnt too hard to get my series x and ps5 for retail last year without bots just serious determination lol .

 

What are the advantages of jtag and can it run without an Xbox Live account logged in? I'm going to Google it but I'd like to know your personal experience with a jtag.

 

I'm 53 and currently playing the shit out of Battlefield 5 on PS4 , I think I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrist lol

 

Rips games directly from disk to hdd. Plays games from hdd. Plays emulated games ( this was big back when emulation wasn't everywhere) . Runs kodi .

Mine has the trident triple nand rgh mod that has a switch on the back to change between 100 percent stock/ jtag /developer Mode .

To be honest it rarely gets turned on anymore .

 

I was reading up on it on Reddit and it doesn't seem to be worth the trouble for me. I have a little Raspberry Pi 3 for emulation. That too isn't used much anymore. I nap more than I game lol.

 

Yeah that was more 2008 . There is other stuff now. I just keep it for nostalgia .

Nobody has one anymore .Here was a custom one I made in 09 out of a original 360 . Wish I still had it but someone paid me 430 dollars for it . I used to do water transfer dipping so I made the case look like carbon fiber .

45 here. Lately I might even turn on the PC, look through the 200+ games (some of which I've never even installed) and shut the computer down. Honestly for me I'm just bored with life. I used to look forward to drinking and gaming and now I want neither. Lonely as fuck too. Colorado sucks for meeting people and I'm sick of living here. I think I'm just in a huge rut.

 

At least spring is coming, and you have mountains. I have corn and bean fields.
I also have a feeling this year is going to be interesting, especially next fall.

im 24, ive played video games for most of my life. Anymore, i go through phases. I used to be huge into sim racing. Love your setup. Your smart to go with fanatec. Huge money stuff but very good and high quality. I would love to get their budget direct drive setup, but even that to get the good load cell pedals and stuff would be like $1500. I may do that when i have money and dont know what to do with it. I used to play assetto corsa all the time and race jdms on touge runs.

 

My favorite to drive was the AE86 and the FD RX7 Spirit R

 

Forgot to mention again, i had mods for takumis AE86 with the AE101 Racing 4AGE. Talk about 11k rpm fun. I always raced the AE86 with no assists and the fd, i only used abs

 

47 here been gaming all my life started with commador then nintendo had the power glove and all then PS. Went to the xbox during the 360 years been on xbox since. I game with my uncle mostly he's 68. I might be looking into building a PC next go around though seems to be the way to go.
