    I also received the URD short throw shifter and took a good look at it. It looks like it is very well made and very well thought out. That being said, I was concerned about the way it went together and the durability of the part. I did some more research and ended up ordering, receiving and putting in a

    It looks great and it feels great. Just have to figure out a better way to attach the boot to the stick better.

    Just the right amount of Poke for me.

    Installed Bilstein 5100's all around... OME 883 spring up front and stock springs in the back. Works out to 22.5" on all five corners... the suspension happened two weekends ago; still no settling. I am really happy with the way it rides. What I am surprised about is how much the front is lifted. I bought them from Wheeler's Off Road with no preload at all. The ride is awesome! I went for a long ride last Sunday through MA, which included close to 20 miles of dirt roads... I put about 300 miles on the truck and still averaged 18.9 MPH.

    I also got a Lund tonneau cover. Lot's of rain, really dry bed, easy installation;

    My only concern with this new setup, is that I was only expecting between 1 1/2" to 2" of lift. It appears I got more like 3" of lift, but I also don't think the truck had the right coilers on the front end when I got it. They were definitely newer shocks, but the front was really low, so I'm wondering if the shocks on the truck at purchase were lower than they should have been.

    The front shocks were easy as pie, again I'm assuming because someone was in there sometime in recent past. The rear shocks had to be cut out. No change in height in the rear at all, just a much better ride.

    Does anything look wrong under here now? I am planning on replacing my brake lines next... mainly thought of replacing them because they they are old and crappy looking and the next inexpensive thing to replace. Not sure if I should get longer brake lines or not...

    I am definitely going to replace my LCA and UCA's, most likely in the spring... they look really rusty and ugly. The truck was easy to get aligned, so I don't think I need anything super fancy. Again, if anyone sees anything wrong here, please chime in.

    Anyway, the shocks are in and it is an improvement. But there is still work to do.

    There is a Tacoma in my home town that is almost identical to mine, only it has 33's on it. I was really hoping to go for it, but things are pretty tight now with 265/75/16... considering 235/85/16 but have a lot of time left on the current tires to makeup my mind.

    Currently have questions about re-gearing... right now it doesn't feel necessary, but if I change the tires it might? I checked the door sticker and I have A02A differential. If I am not mistaken that is 3:56?
