Hey brother! I'm doing great! How about yourself? I sold the Taco in December odd '20 and I've been living that Jeep life since. And, well, that's about to change. I miss having a truck, specifically a Tacoma sooooooooooooo... See next post for what is up my sleeve :D

    I got you homie!

Been living in this beast since June :D

I learned a lot of parks don't allow skoolies because there's no way to verify they're built properly. Parks worry they'll burst into flames or drop raw sewage, etc. so I flipped my 30' school bus for a $5k profit and started researching RV's. Found that 400hp pre-emissions Cummins powered Monaco at a great price and jumped on it. Been loving it!

Makes sense why you made the switch. I am sad not to see the bus come to fulfill your vision but it sounds like the need is being met, and that is what matters.

Good to hear! I am doing well, currently in ABQ for training and had PCS'd to FL, getting back into the gunship... And nice!!! A brand new Taco! I still have the same ole' '15. And your going to put 37's on it? thats nuts! I inherited a couple projects(Two '69 Mustangs from my late Grandfather, I can post some pics later), so my Tacoma hasn't changed much.

    You still flying helo's?

I was looking forward to that project a lot as well. I'd already started gutting the electrical system, stripped the interior to bare bones and got the subfloor in when I had to stick it in storage. My mom sold her house and the storage place wouldn't let me do any kind of construction on it.

I'll get some more pictures of the RV posted soon!

Glad to hear you've still got your taco, sorry about your grandfather though. You two must have been close for you to get two iconic muscle cars. Late 60's Mustangs are beautiful cars. Fastback by chance?

And yep, I'm going to try to build myself a rig that will do it all. Comfortable ride, daily drivable, reliable, reliable, reliable, and truer trail worthy. My goals remain the same: get to the trail, run what I want to, drive back home comfortably. I want to be the limiting factor; I'm sick of worrying about snapping an axle, blowing a steering box, grenading a locker, etc. Big Mike's 580:1 triple cased taco on 40's seems to do everything and he's got 40k+ miles on his 40's now! I figure I'll build one for myself the same as his. But only one crawl box.

I forgot to address your last question! I am still flying helicopters! In fact, big things just happened for me in the industry. After two years and four months, the NTSB has FINALLY closed out the accident investigation and I have been cleared of everything! Which means I became free to apply to other companies. Which I did. And I crushed my interview and I got hired on with my favorite company (PHI, Inc.) to fly a Bell 407 (my favorite single engine helicopter) in the Gulf of Mexico!

(Not my pictures, don't have any good ones yet)

Hey there amigo! Good to hear from you and no worries on the jack, maybe next time you’re at coffee and cars I can get it from you.

Glad you’re getting another taco, that will be a great platform and should be fun to build. We’ll have to grab a beer sometime and catch up man

Yeah, unfortunately it was one of those long time any day type of things for my Grandfather, but It was good to have the extra time with him. I am still a bit shocked he gave them to me.

One is a Mach 1, 428 Cobra Jet and the other is a convertible 302.

and Big Mike? You have a link for his truck? That’s nuts! How comfortable can 40s be?

Bad ass!!!! That looks nice! How far do you have to fly out there to one of those rigs?

I would keep it, have the history all in one place!

Very excited to get started on the project but the dealer said it'll be at least six months before Toyota will deliver my custom order. That's fine with me, works with my timeline and gives me some time to plan and research.

I get that. Unfortunately that's how it was for my grandfather and how it's currently going for my grandmother.

Dude. Those are gorgeous. Just drop dead gorgeous cars.

    LOOK AT IT!

+17" if I remember correctly and +24" of suspension travel WITH 40'S!
