I bought this 1992 Toy ex cab 3.0L not running. It has started twice it idles @ about 2300 rpm. Here is a list of the things that have been done,
    1) I replaced the fuel pump
    2) New spark plugs
    3) New mass air flow sensor
    4) New cold start injector
    5) New O2 sensor
    6) Used cold start sensor ( on the back of the block )
    7) New fuel pressure regulator
    8) New cap and rotor
    9) New plugs

When I last got it started, after it warmed up for 5 min, I pushed quickly on the accelerator it sounded like it was going to die.

This truck idles very high when it starts.

    Any thoughts?

I got it started and it idled rough but I let it run for aprox 2 min. It died when I pushed on the accelerator, when I tried to restart it reeked of raw fuel and would not start again.

There are a ton of vacuum lines on that engine, I'd take some time to make sure everything is routed correctly and inspevt for broken or cracked lines at the same time.
I'd also suggest you check the ignition timing

Don't fire the parts cannon until you've actually checked things; you put a new MAF in, but did you actually test the connection to see if it was getting correct power/ground/control?

I would check the coolant temp sensor (CTS) and it's connections; if that checks out, then I would check the 02 sensor(s), MAF and then all the vacuum lines. If you can get someone with a smoke machine that will be much easier.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Have you done any trouble shooting at all or just started replacing everything.

How long was this truck not running and were you given any reason.

Plugs/Cap and rotor but no new wires?

What did the old plugs look like?

Was the fuel tank dropped and cleaned?

No fuel filter change with the new pump?

    Compression test??

    timing belt?

I have tested the EGR system with a vacuum pump, it seems to work fine. I have personally replaced the fuel pump on advise of someone with a stethoscope that couldn't hear the pump running- it was working fine but got a new one since I had it pulled, the tank was clean. The fuel filter was replaced during this no run period. I have not run a compression test, but intend to. Plug Wires look new. Do not know about old plugs. It has been at least a year not running, no reason given.

It started with starting fluid? Maybe try a new fuel pump relay

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Being a 3.0, I would seriously perform a compression test before going to far forward.

You are right. I will take compression readings when I get it back in the shop. Thanks for the input.
