Anything over 60 and it's like driving a brick through wind. Aerodynamics on trucks are marginal at best. If it makes you feel better my truck never sees anything over 60mph and still gets bad mileage...

Yeah....but the 4 cylinder was never about MPG, contrary to what some people believe. It's offered to help meet a price point.

Does not make me feel better. Once in a while you see someone claiming 23mpg or something like that on here. I've never been close.

Off roads are at a slight disadvantage without the bumper spoiler thing. Averaging 73ish on my last road trip I only got 21 MPG over 720 miles. The first 60 miles are heavily policed and I was driving 60. I was getting 23.8.

Basically I think 20 is very reasonable if you're driving 70-75. I have an SR with a tonneau and chin spoiler.

I also don't carry a tool shed in my truck at all times.

I can get gas (resets the mpg thing) and get 23-24 on my way home until I start going up that damn mountain. It's dropped to almost 12 some times if I just got gas. Gonna be interesting whenever I do move away from here.

Ah, karma. Douche with a silver diesel Denali cut me off pulling out of a side road (stood on my damned brakes) then gassed it blowing black exhaust being a macho man.. well when he did that his tailgate opened and some rather expensive looking tool cases fell out on Route 302 and slid onto the shoulder. I got behind him and beeped at him trying to get his attention and was frantically pointing.. got flipped the bird and off he went..

    Looked expensive whatever it was.

Speaking of tools being scattered along the highway; I bet there's still some of my wrenches on the side of the PA Turnpike near Harrisburg from when we got rolled over a couple years ago. My toolbag was on the side of the road and I tried to pick up what I could see, but there's some Craftsman ratcheting wrenches that are missing...

Well just bit the bullet and bought a 6 pk cans of CRC 06026 off Amazon to do the frame and undercarriage on the Tacoma. Supposed to be here next Monday, so I guess I got to completely scrub down the frame and suspension on Sunday. Looks to be almost the same stuff as the RP342, but at a slightly less price. My back is already starting to feel it crawling around under the thing  We'll see how it holds up!
