The same shit everyone else has.
    RA60 6 speed transmission.

The shifter is starting to get sloppy so I want to address this and rebuild/replace bushings.

ive already replaced the bushing on the socket once and it needs fixed again.

I’d like to upgrade this bushing to something stronger and tighter than plastic like Delrin or bronze.

I plan on replacing the seat as well.

Doing research, I haven’t found any upgrades for the bushing.

Marlin Crawler makes a Delrin seat, but they do not make an upgraded bushing for RA60 transmissions (just older ones).

Has anyone found a solution to upgrade the bushing?

I’ve also noticed that the shifter itself is 2 pieces with a rubber isolator in the middle

Has anyone found a way to address this without replacing the whole piece?

Maybe drilling and pinning the 2 pieces so the rubber isolator isn’t so loose? Another idea would be to fill the gap around the rubber isolator with urethane similar to how you reinforce a rubber motor mount? Or removing the isolator and welding the 2 pieces together?

has anyone found a way to fix the slop in this?
    Thanks.

I cut the shifter apart. Remove the damaged internal bushings. Fill the cavity with urethane epoxy. The urethane needs to be a little soft. If you pick something with a really hard durometer, the shifter will transmit a lot of noise into the cabin.

I have just used the stock seat with a little grease in it.

Gotcha. I’ll try another oem one. The current one is worn out after about 2 years.

do you mind sharing what kind of urethane you use? Or durometer?

I know 3m Window Weld is pretty common to stiffen up motor mounts.

    I use Loctite U-05FL.

You can get it at McMaster Carr

    https://www.mcmaster.com/6430A21

This requires a special gun to use.

I am surprised the seat wore out so fast.

If you want to send me the shifter, I will repair it for $110. It will take about a week to turn around.

Bumping this back up for more info…

I finally got around to epoxy’ing the shifter, it’s much tighter now.

All of the play is now in the bushing seat that sit into the transmission.

It’s been a few years since i initially posted this and was wondering if there’s been any updates since then?
