Is this normal? Icon coilovers.

Can’t even find a replacement part. Are these supposed to break?

Normal, no, supposed to break, no, does it happen, yes.

If you're the original owner it should be covered under the warranty, I believe they came out with another design to rectify this issue as it's a known weak link.

Im the original owner but the guy who installed them ordered them for me and he died..

So long as the S/N's aren't already registered you should be fine if you claim to be the original owner, but I suppose that depends on whether or not they're serial numbered.

Still I would give them a call and or send them an email and get ahold of their warranty department.

Same. If they warranty this for me I’ll hold no grudges.

 

With them knowing it’s an issue I don’t see them causing any drama.

So I talked to icon, they said they would get back to my email soon.
They mentioned proof of purchase but the shop I got them from in 2017 the owner died and I tried calling but they aren’t picking up their phone. Fuck.

 

This is why i couldn't get behind the icon stuff. The quality hasn't justified the price to me. I'm sure I'll get bashed for saying that but that's my opinion

Depends on your desired ride height. You have 2-3x more preload than many.

 

Could be worse they ain’t leaking at least.

So I called icon. They said they would review the picture to count the exposed threads to see if it’s covered under warranty. Am I showing too many threads?
