The I have no idea what I’m doing build thread

Also finally got the rightish awning room. This is the third one and it fits ok’ish at this point heather and I am just sick of dealing with it enough to keep it. I may end up just breaking down and selling my HEO awning and buying the actual arb then if it doesn’t work then screw it.

 

Picked up a slightly used decked system as if I didn’t have enough crap in the back of the truck but now everything is neatly organized. I ended up mounting my co2 tank in the little drawer and bolted the bracket into the side of the drawer. Holds pretty damn and I still have a ton of room. Just open the drawer tilt the tank up and done.

Then my dometic showed up after a painful backorder wait. Started welding together the slide and hope to have it finished tonight before I order the aluminum for the final product. This one is heavy but I wanted to make sure it worked before I dropped nearly double the price on the aluminum




Also had to relocate my second battery to on top of the decked system. I am going to try and fit it in the very back of the large drawer on the decked system I just need to get more wire to make that happen so it has slack coming out of it.

I sold it. The mileage was getting up there 205,000+ and I didn’t originally have plans to sell but the dealership offered me almost 20k if I traded in on a brand new 4Runner so I bit.

 

hopefully you kept your fridge and accessories?

Yes I kept the fridge, tent, awning, cargo glide, ham, gmrs, fuel pax, and some other small odds and ends.

They got the heretic light bar, winch, armor, wheels and tires, both prinsu’s. Mainly the stuff that was a pain in the ass to take off or out.

 

The runner got new shoes a needed lift and rsg sliders on order.

True but your wife didn’t lol. I still remember that first lbl meet. Mine wants me to mod it. When hers gets here there’s already a lift kit in the building, window tint gift card, wheels and tires ready to go.

Man I forgot all about my TW upbringing here’s the most recent shot of the 4R from Sunday. This was after spending about 4 hours taking the front runner rack off and putting the gobi on. We’ve gotta get some hardware for the gobi before our awning and everything else goes back on.
