I am looking to purchase a heater for my 3 car garage and am leaning towards a Hot Dawg Heater 45000 BTU by Modine but I see that there are a few that cost quite a bit less. I will be using natural gas with a horizontal vent. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks in advance for all of your suggestions.

rinnai monitor's are decent. How well insulated? Looking for heat on the weekends or all winter? if you want a/c for the summer a mini split would do both for you, a 9k unit will probably work out fine.

Older thread I know but tis the season. I am in the process of installing a Mr Heater Big Maxx in my new house garage. 50,000 BTU to heat a 26 x 36 attached 3 car. IMO this is the best bang for the buck. $399 at Menards and then you get 11% back from that. Also in the process of insulating so this should easily handle this WI winter.

Apparently they went up due to the season. I paid $399 2 weeks ago and now $449. Still not a bad price. Also available from Northern Tool.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It all comes down to how often you need to bring a outside temperature vehicle into the garage.

I used a 150,000 BTU space heater to warm things up (about an Hour) then used the gas fired heater to maintain the temperature .

This might not be an issue for your application.

I do recall having to put on more then a tee shirt on frosty mornings in January
