I have a problem where when im on a dusty trail, the dust gets inside where the rear "flap" bar seats into the plastic bracket, there is a gap between the softtopper and the bed. Do you have a gap also? I tried moving the softopper forward and backward but still have a gap.

Yes. At exactly that spot I have a gap on both sides. If the context is cold night trying to keep the warm in? I just cover it with some insulation. For dust, just by sealing the tailgate I've cut it back by a good 75%. Maybe someone else out there has figured out a solution. Here's a good forum on it also.

Thats pretty cool. Do you have a switch on your control panel to power it on and off?

Nothing entirely exciting but I swapped to a 2017 tundra booster/master cylinder. Eradicated the “squishy” pedal feel and really brought out the stopping power of the BBK.

ignore the rats nest of harnesses…. Soon to be replaced by a switch pod.

New windshield installed today. I have to say, overall, I really enjoy the people at Safelite Auto Glass. Today makes at least 6 replacements they have done for me on multiple vehicles and they are professional. The only hang-up I have when dealing with them is the scare tactics they have their clams people pull when you initiate the work order regarding your choice of OEM vs. aftermarket glass.

Yes, I am that guy that wants what came in or on my ride put back. Especially when you consider the fortune we pay these guys for coverage. I often feel that the least these guys can do is make sure quality parts are installed with the outrageous policy cost these days. Oh my God, I'm my dad!!!

Anyway, they pull the whole "let us see if your policy will cover OEM" :argue: this, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it a state law that they have to use OEM if it is requested?

I know they say the quality and specifications have to be the same and they make more money installing aftermarket but this should be done with an incentive and not dishonisity. I wonder how many poor people fall for this scare tactic, this kind of dishonesty enrages me. Especially when you can bet it's either non-enthusest or the elderly that fall prey to this tactic. :annoyed:

Yes, I'm ranting, sorry, but other than this these guys are top-notch and I absolutely recommend them for windshield replacement. :thumbsup:You know, you forget how clear your windshield use to be until it is replaced.

    safelite sucks
    professionals refuse to use them
and regular people often do as well after poor experiences regarding low quality parts used and low quality installation skill
usually their business is a first timer new and never done it before so they don't know better

see if it leaks water in rain or carwash

Really??? You know I got thinking about it and I think I have had them replace at least 8 windshields over the last few years. Two on my Land Rovers, which are heated that no one else wanted to take on. I actually took one to Land Rover when one of their glass roof sections got broke and they sourced it out to some outside place and it never was right again.

I did have a leak on an F-150 from them but they took it right in and never had any other issues with it. What are you basing such a strong opinion on? Have you had issues? Who are the professionals your referring to? When I think about who to use for this kind of work I would be surprised to learn of anyone who might do more volume or have more experience than these guys.

I would guess that they probably do at least 40 or 50 a day at the location I use. I'm basing this on the size of their staff and the number of people in their waiting room. I actually know the guys that do my installs and I find them to be most thorough and professional. But I do admit that one bad experience can leave a pretty bad taste.

Is it normal for a man's bottom lip to quiver and for an involuntary needy sound to come from his mouth when he sees such a fine-looking truck or a table full of parts like that? :101010: Oh and I should add, that my wife saw our exchange and I’m not allowed to play with you anymore. She said something about a friendship with people with this kind of influence could get expensive fast etc. lol

Will the 88p fit in the large storage cubby in the bed? My girlfriend just ordered me one for my birthday (aka I ordered it and she paid for it)

Concluded my extended brake line debacle. Went to put on extended rear lines but one was super seized. Got a new hard line and cut the old one off but ended up having to drop the tank to get the new hard line in. Next time I’ll just get a flare tool and put a new nut on the end instead of replacing the whole line. So much hassle but glad it’s done.
